The hotel is superb. Rooms all brand new and very well equipped. Handy shop downstairs. Uk bbc tv channel was great as I was travelling alone. My open top car was parked in garage forecourt but it was untouched by anyone with all my luggage in it. I left 1 bag laying around by accident with all my maps in and someone handed them in for me!! Great for a biker stop over. This was a very nice hotel, but it was a shock when our GPS told us we had arrived at our destination, and it was attached to a gas station! My first reaction was to look for another hotel, but we went inside and it was nice and quiet. The breakfast buffet is downstairs in the gas station/hotel. It was good - just weird to me.

The buffet breakfast was incredible, staff very friendly and welcoming once we walked in. An exceptional base for a holiday in the Bastogne region. Very modern, clean, and nice motel very near the Place McAuliffe in central Bastogne. Easy walk up to the hotels and restaurants surrounding the square. This is definitely a motel/motor inn that's more reminiscent of US "drive-up" motels. The staff are very friendly. A great place to see the entire region from. A very modern room with good sound proofing from the busy road food was good petrol and food at hand for your pack lunches a short 10 min walk into Bastogne center for the bars and restaurants Le Merceny is well placed for visiting the surrounding areas we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this motel. Quirky hotel over a gas station/convenience store but we loved it!! Soundproofing must be exceptional as we had no problem with noise from the business below, Very comfortable room and bed and the best shower of all the hotels on our recent trip. Nice base for visiting the Bastogne region. We loved everything about this hotel! It is above a gas station-- the rooms are soundproofed and you hear NOTHING--- also, it is convenient to have to have the gas station downstairs for snacks and wifi. The rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was super friendly and very helpful!. The hotel is indeed above a gas station / convenience store. But it's well insulated for sound, and the room is quite modern and stylish. Obviously, the downstairs part is not so stylish, but it has a strange charm. The staff was extremely nice. It was very close to the main attractions. The monument was under renovations. We went to the Peace Woods. It is connected to a gas station, so we could go down in the morning and buy breakfast cheaper than they offered their breakfast. Very comfortable. Rooms are large, and kept very clean It is very unique being located directly above a convenience store/service station.Ideal if you want a snack. Definitely a great stay. At first sight thought it was going to be awful as it was on the Garage forecourt, but what a surprise behind the door and very quiet. very comfortable accommodations; great location for walking to town; convenience store was handy to have right there; quiet sleeping;. Everything, from the bed to the bathroom, everything was perfect, more like a 5 star motel, if there could be such a thing. City center is in walking distance, so better pay a low price and walk 5 minutes. Rooms are modern and comfortable. It was a surprisingly fun hotel, located above a grocery store (which is handy if you're traveling with children). rooms are well designed and maintained, everything worked as intended, quiet at night due to layout of the hotel. Nothing. Really not much to not like. It is sparse, with no mini-bar or anything. WiFi is only available in the cafe on the ground floor, but they do have wired internet in the rooms. While the staff are friendly, many don't speak a lot of English and are also working the convenience store, so don't expect a concierge or easy recommendations on places to see/eat. A rather small quibble. First impressions it was a petrol station but soon discovered it offered everything we needed for our European tour. Since the staff who handle check-in also man the convenience store registers, you may have to wait a bit to check-in or for assistance if needed -- but very friendly folks. The pillows. They are my only complaint... Not comfortable. The internet was by ethernet cable, and it was SLOW. Just a tiny trickle of data. The breakfast offered was limited. Yogurts and boiled eggs should at least be added. There is no elevator. Breakfast not included;they charge extra for the breakfast. We only had some difficulty regulating the temp in the room--needed more instruction, I think. Nothing. Only complaint is that the save was locked when we arrived and we couldn't open/use it. Nothing. No issues whatsoever. I was lost and late getting there, we made it with about 10 minutes to spare. I worry what we might have done if we had gotten in a bit after 10 P.M. ???????. Nothing - all good. No wifi in room. Nothing, cannot think of a single criticism. No Wifi in our room. Frosted Window between bathroom and room with non-frosted slits. Bit of privacy would be nice. Lights during the night from the Petrol station underneath shone through into the room. The music from the petrol station started quite early in the morning (the speakers were at room level!) But neither of these would stop us booking again :). Nothing. pillows were not great, like rocks. Last day we were leaving all our lugage was downstairs while waiting for bus. When the driver loaded suitcases and we arrived at new location to findvwe were missing 2 suitcases.we called the hotel at first someone said they gave our suitcase to someone checking in by mistake. Then someone else told us it was left in our room which we all checked and it was not left in our room.it cost me 220 uros to get my suitcase. The Hotel would not take responsibility for any of it.
