  It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time. The hotel has 12 rooms, they're very spacious, comfortable and clean, breakfast was lovely. The Ilum is one of the nicest places we have stayed and we have travelled extensively.   Modern boutique hotel in neigborhood of Palermo Hollywood. Its abit further away from old Palermo (about a 15-20 min walk) where most boutique stores and restaurants are situated. Stayed in the junior suite and it was supberb. The room had a kitchen and a lounge area. There's also a gym on the terrace.   Once we moved to Hotel Suites and Lofts 1 (the loft-one of the twohotels), the staff was very helpful, the hotel very clean and the valuefor money good. Especially the staff needs mentioning here. However,this does not apply to Hollywood Suites and Lofts 2 (the suites-tower)!!!!
