Also appreciated the information brochure provided on Joshua Tree National Park as it gave us a chance to look at options the night before heading off the next day. - Hot Breakfast was great. After driving for 9 hours alone, my anxieties and exhaustion disappeared when I was greeting by the hotels night hostess. I felt like the she was welcoming me into her home. She made me feel so comfotable. And then the daytime was just as kind. The maids and the maintenance man and desk clerks gave genuine customer service.

  I grew up in 29 Palms so I have a bit more insight than the typical traveler regarding the chain hotels on the main roads. That being said, I was relieved to find that Sunnyvale Gardens had a vacancy for my 3 night trip. The hotel was created from former condos. We arrived late in the evening and Tony was all prepared for us even taking us around the gro - We booked online as we were looking for a room with two beds since we were moving our daughter and grandson to Twenty-nine Palms. We were very pleasantly surprised to learn it was more like a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, than a large hotel room. Exhausted from driving and the move, it was wonderful to have the kitchenette and spacious living room area to come back to at the end of the day.
