  Beautiful grounds and a setting with an ambience of the old Hawaii. The restaurant is excellent. We have been to Maui many times but had not been to Hana. We booked the Travaasa Hana for one night because it was the one nice hotel available. After arrival, we decided to extend another night and that made the experience really special.   I came with my then wife on a 25th anniversary trip in 1997. Since then there has been quite a bit of development of other hotels in the area since then but there is still a feeling of space because of the surrounding golf courses. Access from pool to sea is excellent.
