  The desk clerk at check in was the nicest man I have ever had the pleasure to work with at check in. He was warm, smiling, took care of problems in the reservation, answered phones enthusiastically, made recommendations that were great, and was VERY clear about key instructions like Internet passwords. I so wish I noted his name for you. - Rooms newly refurbished & clean! I wasn't expecting too much given the internet price, however, was highly impressed with the room (non-smoking).   The price was excellent for two adults staying two nights in Las Vegas!! We spent most of our time at the Mandalay Bay Resort where most of my family was gathered for my neice's wedding. Staying at Howard Johnson's allowed us to stay within our budget, and to be a 5 minute drive from the hotel where all of our events were.   From the moment I walked in to the reception the staff just smiled and was super-friendly. Got help when i neede to make phonecalls and I was able to do a very late check-out. Rooms were clean, pillows very comfortable and size of room was good. I liked my stay and can def recommend this.
