  I was attending a classic movie festival and felt safe walking in the neighbourhood alone, even at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing information and printing my boarding passes. The location was superb - close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, theatres and shopping.   This very low profile hotel is the best kept secret in hollywood. At first sight it doesn't seem to be the best choice. Yet in my opinion it is. I've been around la for a while in the various neighborhoods and in many different hotels. And the "Super 8" without the slightest of doubt was the best offer quality-pricewise. Wifi is strong en good enough to watch Netflix ;-) Breakfast is ok, enough choise and it's free!

  It's an OK hotel for a one night stay. We didn't see anything bad other reviewers had mentioned. The hotel had weird design, but our room was spacious and relatively clean. The linens and towels were clean, the rest of the room was only superficially cleaned. The bed was very comfortable. The door had kind of flimsy lock.
