  I was attending a classic movie festival and felt safe walking in the neighbourhood alone, even at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing information and printing my boarding passes. The location was superb - close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, theatres and shopping. Found wonderful Thai restaurant on corner near hotel.

  We stayed at this hotel in July 2013 for 4 nights. It was myself, hubby and our 13 year old daughter. We really enjoyed our stayed at this hotel. The location is great, you can walk along Hollywood Boulevard to the 'strip' and it was only 10min drive to Universal Studios which we visited during our stay.   I loved this place. The girl was old and out-dated, but I didn't hold it against her. Because she was built to last. And the current owners keep her impeccably clean and well-maintained. The internal courtyard with pool, Jacuzzi and beautiful garden were just magical. It lent a real spa-like oasis-type feel to the place. Laundry facilities were available at a reasonable cost, and the owners provided the laundry detergent for free. The - Very, very service-minded staff during the 8 days I stayed here.   This very low profile hotel is the best kept secret in hollywood. At first sight it doesn't seem to be the best choice. Yet in my opinion it is. I've been around la for a while in the various neighborhoods and in many different hotels. And the "Super 8" without the slightest of doubt was the best offer quality-pricewise.
