  The neighborhood is very interesting with lots of good restaurants serving nice meals at interesting prices (Stella Maris, Il brigante, MarkJoseph steakhouse, Suteishi,...). During our stay we had a quiet room on the 5th floor. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. I have stayed in central manhattan in the past and by comparison I think the lower east side had more soul and we felt more at home and that we were locals for the couple of weeks that we stayed there. Many buses both cross town and up and downtow - This Bed and Breakfast is the most desirable hotel we have ever stayed in the New York City area.   Amazing Friendly Stuff and very helpful with tips and tricks, Close to the Subway, Very nice safe area, a fair average american breakfast, Nice room with vending and ice maker machine in two floors, - Staff was very helpful with my problems and helped me solve them. Very friendly and efficient.
