The staff could not have been friendlier upon my arrival. That's a
first impression that other places needlessly screw up, but this hotel
has an excellent front desk. Smooth check-in, the room was clean, it was
pretty much exactly what I needed and expected. The location is great -
a short walk or drive to historical sites and entertainment. Sure,

it's an older hotel, but the rooms have clearly been upgraded as
best they can. They're not gonna smell like fresh cut roses,
let's not kid ourselves -
Considering the high prices of all hotels around Pensacola and Pensacola
Beach, I thought this was great value for money, particularly the
continental breakfast, which had hot food! Great location in historical
downtown, quiet at night, and only a short drive from Pensacola Beach.
Also, I don't know if it was the previous beds I had slept in, but
this was quite a comfy bed! Great comforter/doona and pillows!
Lastly, it may seem funny, but they must "spray" the grounds
well with insect killer, a

We came back here to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We spent our honeymoon here, it was a Holiday Inn back in 1978. It was a clean comfortable room. The staff took care of our needs when
asked. There were no bed bugs. We had all the comforts of home that were
expected. They had the beautiful Pensacola Bay in the rear of the
property. We were treated with the beautiful sight of large pelicans and
many other birds flying across the water and also a pair of young
dolphins playing, about 75 to 100 feet off the shore line.

The children's activities were fabulous. My granddaughter liked the Pirates and the face painting, but she loved the mermaid. She was so excited about swimming with the mermaid that she told everyone she saw about it for days. The swimming pool with the lazy river and waterfalls was great. The whole family had a great time. It was walking distance to many of the gift shops, eateries, and so much fun. The resort was super clean and the staff was so friendly. I love this place but the cost was kind of high. I plan to go next time leaving the weekend rates out of it. It will be a mon- Friday trip next time.
