O que as pessoas dizem
If you want to experience some of old Dubai, then this is the place. It
is in the heart of the old souks, easy walk to metro and water taxi
station. Felt like it was more of a home than a hotel. This was due to
the fact that we stayed in the part of the guest house that had only 6
rooms and also the fantastic customer service of Zele. Zele's warmth
and good humour really made our stay. She is Ahmedia's greatest
asset! We picked her brains daily for local information and she was
always very will. todos opiniões »
The charm of the guesthouse. It's very tastefully decorated. We were on the ground floor, which was very convenient, especially with a lot of luggage. We had a small terrace with two armchairs and a coffee table, so we could read, have coffee outside our room and relax.
The Gold Souq, Spice Souq and the Creek are the attractions of the area. Crossing the Creek on an 'abra' (small, traditional Arabic ferry boat) costs AED 1/ per person. It takes five minutes to cross the Creek, where Bastakiya,.
The fact that this was our 4th visit in two months must say
something...we fell in love with this very special place in Dubai. If
you want to experience "Arabia" this is the place to stay in
Dubai. Awaiting you is a lovely ambiance, large clean rooms and a
wonderful lady (Zili) to receive and pamper. All this and within walking
distance to the Creek (and Abra Station) and a very short stroll to the
Metro (Al Ras Metro Station), the Spice Souq and the Gold Souq. You
won't be disappointed.
Arabian style of hotel was delightful. Location in old part of Dubai and
proximity to souks (gold, spice, old), metro, and abra across the river.
Extremely helpful and professional staff. Great Somalian cafe next door
(try the camel meat dishes). Up to date and clean room facilities
including free wifi, totally non-smoking, bottled water, bath products,
and digital tv with excellent Al Jazeera news channel.
I was on one of my business trip to Dubai with my husband. The reason we chose this place was of its location. Being close to Gold Souk and Souk Al-Wasl, it meant we could save on transportation as everything was within walkong distance. Room was spacoius, clean & the staffs were very helpful. Decor was nice and classical...it reminds me of the Tales of Aladdin and The Magic Lamp.
This beautifully restored heritage hotel was a delight. One felt quite
at home, and got a real feel for a genuine Arabic style home. It was
beautifully located near the Gold Souk and close to the metro, and the
Dubai Creek, as well as several interesting heritage buildings such as
the Al Ahmedia School Museum, and the Women's Museum.
The staff, particularly Alena was excellent even though she had only
just started in her job at Ahmedia. Service was great, rooms felt
more traditional, Arabian which we wanted. Great location to the
souks and metro. Free Wifi. Good breakfasts although the pastries
were a bit stale.
I loved the historical and unique feel of the Guest House. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. As a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable and safe. Daniel on the front desk was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
We received a lot of support from the stuff, they were always ready to assist us and answer to many questions. The place was very cosy: unique architecture, with a courtyard in the middle of the building, with an tarrace for relaxing.
Situated in the older souk area of Dubai very close to the Al Ras metro
station this b and b was terrific. Lovely atmospheric place, great staff
(big thank you to Christopher) and very clean rooms and common area.
Good breakfast.
The staff were welcoming when we arrived early. The place was totally full of atmosphere. We slept behind wooden medieval doors off a central courtyard and knew we were in the Middle East . Walked to river buses.
Loved the location ... a few minutes from the Gold Souk and in the middle of an old part of Dubai. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast. The room had an old Arabic feel to it.
Arriving at this guesthouse is like stepping off the street into another
world. Felt like a small piece of Arabia nestled in busy Deira. It was
very comfortable clean and quiet.
The architectural heritage and the spacious and colorful rooms as well as culturally related design overall. It's a good place for peace and relaxation.
Nice to have the feel of something special, very unlike modern hotel facilities. Having a taste of the traditional house and room.
the staff is very kindly, the structure is very very nice in the centre of the souq.
Vintage style.
Good location near old districts of Dubai.
Budget-friendly.
Clean.
The Arabian style and the big size of the room, very helpful and
nice staff.
All about it, staff, breakfast, the room having the real touch of Arabic.
location in central Deira
carefully reconstructed old house.
everything was great.
staff, facility, breakfast and so on.
Friendly staff and nice rooms. Very close to metro.
Very speaical design, near the metor station.
The staff at the hotel were so helpful.
the layout of the hotel.
see point 3.
the investing of Heritage places to be a Guesthouse
the rooms are wide and the rest rooms are so.
Old heritage concept and atmosphere. Room very spacious. Close to
metro station.
The calmless.
not worthy ther money they ask..very poor bathroom facilities ...airconditioning very noise and not working properly, if in March is too hot notwithstanding the temp was settled at 10deg I can not immagine what will happen in June for example... the common space not fresh this because of the glass roof that do not allow the circulation of the air... heritage in some places otherwise it is like the common hostel max. 2 stars.
decoration and room facilities are good.
Close to Metro station.
Painfully slow wifi.
We were lucky to have the ONLY parking spot inside the grounds of the property. Or else, parking could have been difficult in this very busy area of Dubai.
The only real problem is parking for your car. They only got one parking
bay and believe me: It is impossible to get a parking bay in a radius of
10 km from the guesthouse.
Hard to find suitable cafes for dinner nearby. Noisy air cond outside
window all night. Wifi was variable.
Not didn't like actually but the hotel could post reminders to visitors of the hazards of their door. Being traditional, they feature heavy wooden doors with giant metal padlocks for their rooms. My fingers were caught between the door, and it lead to awful bruises.
The breakfast was a bit hit and miss, but the staff were a delight.
Difficult to find and people in Dubai cannot help you to find any place!
Or they are not able to speak English properly!.
The aircondition was used for many years, therefore the smell of old air con was disturbing to me, but my boyfriend did not notice the smell :).
Air conditioners a bit noisy (ear plugs recommended) and near to mosque
so can hear the call to prayer. But fabulous otherwise.
Would recommend a map for early arrivals like Australians who arrive at 5 am with food and coffee locations. Zela did look after us when we came back desperate.
We had good A/C in the room, but it was a little noisy. The TV had about 500 channels and about 4 of them were in English ad it took forever to find them.
There is one very small parking that was shared by two cars.
The restroom. Shower had low water pressure and tepid water temperature. The breakfast could have had more choice but I understand its only a continental breakfast.
The guest house is over 250 years old, so the window is still in the traditional format, heavy wood boards, no glass to seal the room from outside noise. Surrounding air conditioning noise penetrate the window easily.
The air conditioner was too cold and I could not fix it myself.
However, most likely it could be fixed by staff but I never asked due
to the lack of time.
nothing.
wifi is not stable.
the internet was really poor.
A courtesy bus was supposed to pick us up at airport, but was not there, so we took a taxi... I never been reimbursed from the taxi fares.
the location to reach
the noise of A/C
some things me do not like but not to tell , may be for self busness kkkkkkkk ).
No parking or extremely expensive. Partner hotel did not accept to take
responsibility. Tv service broke down.
Far from restorants.
it is really hard to find the hotel. There is no restaurant and breakfast is poor. If you have a car you have to park very far from the hotel, means you have to carry your baggage. Taking a shower is disaster, it is either hot or cold.
1.Breakfast is litte to chose.
2. noise of air condition is noisy.
3. Beds are hard
4. In the room there is a kind of WEIRD small like very old castle.
