Helpful and friendly young lady behind the bar - receptionist? - who showed us to a most delightful room with superb facilties. Everything spotlessly clean, the decor beautiful. We had a good nights' sleep the room was so quiet and tranquil. Lovely breakfast in a wonderful room served by a very charming young man who gave us the history of the hotel which is totally fascinating.

All staff very polite and efficient. Beautiful building of character. Very comfortable rooms which looked recently refurbished and were very smart and clean. Thrapston lovely little town, no big stores just individufal independent shops which made a nice change. Shopkeepers very obliging and helpful. Nice 'town walk' around lakes and along river. Good choice of eating as hotel does not currently do evening meals.
I wanted a friendly pub which did comfortable accomodation and the Court House was perfect. The town centre location was ideal, with parking close by and the en-suite room was newly decorated and beautifully clean. A nice touch was the selection of shower gel and shampoos. A great breakfast and Victoria, the landlady, was lovely. Thoroughly recommended.
I just loved the friendly owners , the decoration and comfy rooms, so
clean and little extras like coffee milk and a set tray, not forgetting
the bottled water(very important to me) . The owners gave such a warm
greeting and asked how you would like your breakfast cooked and if you
would like everything.. Great value too.
Everything. The staff were great, the locals welcoming, the breakfast was faultless, the building fascinating, the room was clean and to a very good standard, the beer spot on, the location superb for food and the little touches on a musical theme just finished off a very well presented business.
I was met by a beautiful receptionist,who was incredibly helpful, and shown to the most delightful room where later that evening I slept like a baby, to all travellers stay here its the most magical blend of luxury and relaxation, the staff from the cleaner all the way to the owner are fantastic.
The room was spotlessly clean and compact but well appointed with great shower and comfortable beds. The tea/coffee making facilities were generous too...plenty of both tea and coffee and milks! The bar downstairs was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. Excellent rooms, they've been decorated with lots of thought and individuality. The staff are helpful and friendly. It's just excellent all round.
It was warm, comfortable and friendly, with parking just next door. In a good position and easy to find. Lovely shower and all you need for a relaxing stay.

Lack of car park but able to share neighbouring car park at weekends. Problem with drainage in shower cubicle but sure this could be easily remedied to avoid flooding.

If I had a grumble it would be a lack of parking. On road only unless you park up the road in a public car park... but you can't have it all!.
No reception desk - you had to ask at the pub Bar.
TV dominated the breakfast room; this does not encourage any conversation.
There wasn't much to complain about really, but one thing that is worth a mention, is the fact that the rooms are over the pub, which stayed open quite late and the music did thump up through the ceiling.
I would have liked a small soap and flannel as the shower is fixed head so it would help with rinsing. Just a tiny thing in an otherwise fantastic stay. It was also a real shame they do not do food in the evening. We had to go to another nearby pub to eat which wasn't nearly as nice as The Court House.
My only reservation, and this is a personal gripe and applies to many other establishments too, is that the coffee making facilities are of the instant powdered kind, which I find undrinkable. Nowadays I take my own cafetiere and supply of ground coffee around with me on overnight stays!.
