From when I first turned up to when I left, all of the staff were welcoming and friendly. There was a choice of bars to suit the type of company (quiet or lively) and I felt relaxed and comfortable during my stay. Pretty much all that we saw. Unfortunately, we didn't spend much time there, as we were at a party. But what we did se was good. We would like to have had a meal as the menu looked great. Breakfast was great.

It was perfect for my visit to a friend who lives in Tamworth. The staff were nice and helpful and the breakfast was just about right. Comfortable, Clean, Friendly staff and suited exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. This small hotel was excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, was pleasantly suprised. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, very lively clientele, no tracksuits, woohoo!. The room was very clean, and good value. Comfortable bed and good shower. Beer arden childs play area tv inbulit ipod player/dvd. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. nice rooms pleasant stay. The rom was perfectly clean and comfortable and close to where we had to get to. (drayton manor park). The staff were helpfull. The bed was uncomfortable,room cold,TV in terrible position,noisy room and guests in next room were up and down all night to go outside for a cigarette,every time they opened and closed there door I woke up overall and experience not to be repeated. If a chair could be provided to sit while working on a laptop, everything would have been complete. The fact that we didn't have time to have a good look around and couldn't enjoy a meal in the restaurant. would have been nice to have a choice at breakfast before food was put onto our plates (my son does not like beans) air con was not working. TV in the room was tiny, not that I watched it, but the only negative I could think of. very small pillows, possibly needs curtains as well as blinds. Was cold outside, lol. The room was small, with no chair. As it was adjoining a pub, it was noisy outside as people were leaving the bar late at night. Curtain pole falling off no curtain un plastered/painted walls. cobwebs in the room but clean apart from that. the television was not fixed properly to the bracket and could have fallen. The television was unusable anyway because the remote control had no batteries in it. Rooms are very small, too small to even fit a chair to sit on when watching the TV (which I was aware of before I booked). Rooms a bit tatty and need overhaul. Was not made clear that breakfast was charged extra. Website said breakfast served in the morning which indicated it was included. Very thin mattress & could feel springs. Broken blind so woken very early by light coming in window. Booking website said own private patio area wrong just a public gravel area outside front of the pub. small room but fit for purpose. No hot water in room or power shower. Room small toilet not flushing. it was a bit warm in the room. No separate reception area just the main bar , kept waiting . Also nothing was explained about booking out , so just left key in door . Uncertainty about availability of hot water, traffic noise. All of the above. Extremely uncomfortable and noisy beds. Pub noise. Single glazed windows- drafty and bad condensation. Leaking shower enclosure. Advert said with private terrace, not sure what was that as there was no private outside area?? Bathroom had needed some refurbishment tableside lamp could not bee plugged in as it could not reach any sockets. Breakfast. Reception area in Main Bar. Breakfast from 8:00am, Too late Double Room - very small Needs a makeover. The beds were cheap matt, hard. duvets thin pillows thin, towels thin. resturant in bar area, so noisey , food main course not very good Tappas very good.Drinks deal, Braekfast very poor for £4.95 ran on a shoe string. very noisy you could hear through the walls, we wanted to sleep but the people next door didn't. noisy fan. gardener was scrapping early morning. In the room we was in there was damp in the corner of the room. What bedroom furniture there was it was not put together very well. My little boy open one the drawers and it dropped onto his fingers of other hand. Housekeeping was not done properly there was an empty bottle under one of the beds from a previous visitor, also the towels that was in the room had not been replaced for the extra night we stopped. to noisy. Filthy wall where head board should be. Filthy sticky iron burnt carpet. Paper thin pillow and duvet. Manky blanket. Crunchy grey towels Bedroom door kicked in along bottom. Paper thin walls so I could hear conversation of man next door from midnight till 1am. 1 coffee sachet 1 milk 1 teabag on cheap plastic tray. Room above courtyard of drunken revellers. But most of all the total false advertising as the rooms in photos on Internet website look beautiful. Without a doubt the room was the worse room we have ever stayed in. When I went to complain the manager already knew what room we had been alocated and what the complaint was. They should not be allowed to use rooms of such a bad standard let alone charge for them. Booked a double room but was given a twin room. One bed was so uncomfy that we had to share a single bed. Room was cold. No tea in the room. Cleaners were scraping outside our room at half 6 in the morning waking us up. Staff didnt seem to take any interest in us. The room was nothing like the pictures on the website. There was no decoration of any kind not even headboards. There was dirty cotton buds under the bed. Plaster on the walls and a weird painting in the top right corner that was obviously covering something up. Absolutely horrified it was for a special occasion for me and my boyfriend we may as well have stayed at home. Appalled.
