A 5-minute walk from Salisbury Cathedral, The Lazy Cow has a steakhouse restaurant and a modern, boutique feel. The refurbished rooms have a creative décor, an iPod dock, and free Wi-Fi access.
Good steaks, English crab and lobsters are served at the Steakhouse. There is also a cocktail menu, wines, and a breakfast menu for the morning.
Bedrooms come with bathrobes and a flat-screen TV. The rooms have a luxurious feel, and some have a funky cow theme.
The Lazy Cow is in Salisbury city centre. Shops and entertainment can be reached within a 5-minute walk. Old Sarum, the site of an ancient settlement, is less than 10 minutes' drive away

Our room (15) was amazing, so much thought has gone into the decor, very comfortable bed, and the towels, robes etc were all super fluffy.
Beautiful Grade 1 listed building, really quirky.
The restaurant was also lovely, the dinner we had and breakfasts on both days were absolutely delicious.
Staff all so charming and helpful and evidently work extremely hard.
It was great having the smaller touches like TeaPigs in the room. todos opiniões »
I liked the friendly helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were all unique, I liked the bar and it's unique design, the old building with rickety stairs and walls. We had everything we needed in the room. It was warm and you can control the heaters as you like. Large mirrors nice TV Ipod doc.
The room was warm and comfortable, with a quaint and exciting decor and Tea Pigs selection for drinks in the room. Breakfast was of very good quality and in the pleasant cow themed room. Staff was attentive and friendly. Excellent location for shopping and visiting Stonehenge.
The food was excellent breakfast and dinners over 3 days stay, no
complaints to make really, will be staying again in the near future,
would recommend anyone to stay there.
Very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic building and furnishings, much bigger tv than I've had in any other hotel and the price was brilliant! Couldn't recommend enough.
The staff were excellent and the service was straight forward! Even when things with the bill went a little awry it was sorted quickly.
Location near Queen Anne's Gate. Quirky. Staff were accommodating. Nice continental breakfast. Spacious bathroom. Room well lit.
Fun house like old half timbered structure, staff, atmosphere. Cool, spacious room. Close to (view of) cathedral, and center city.
Central location. A very old building that is still authentic. The
evening meal of various steaks was unusual and exceptional.
Room design. Nice bathroom. Great coffee machine. Great location. Would
definitely come back and recommend to others.
Enthusiastic and helpful staff.
Building is full of character.
Great 'cow' theme going on....
Love the room's quirky style.
The food was very good.
Upgraded room on check in.
Nice cosy little hotel with good food and friendly staff. Will book again.
Fabulous decor! Friendly staff. Excellent location!! Highly recommend!!.
They sorted out the problem we had on arrival. The food was very good.
Character and comfort of the room...really quirky.
Location was great.
I love this hotel and now use it in all my Salisbury business stays.
The staff. The wacky old building and some unusual breakfast dishes.
I loved the theme of the hotel and it was the best steak I've had.
Fantastic room very querky, friendly staff, great location.
The friendliest staff in any hotel I have ever stayed in.
Excellent restaurant
Very fancy room
Friendly employees.
Interesting old building, and friendly, helpful staff.
room decor, quirkyness, friendly staff, food.
Unusual large rooms, good restaurant.
The hotel is well located in the centre of Salisbury although parking is limited as the hotel does not have its own carpark. The building has character.
Food in restaurant was good if a bit pricey. Huge character in the rooms, great style and sense of history.
Fun decor with super Salisbury downtown location with easy access to cathedral, pubs etc.
The location is brilliant as it is walking distance from the city centre to the cathedral. The staff were friendly.
A few small snags like bulbs out in the bedroom, and juice etc could have been topped up quicker at breakfast, but nothing that remotely affected our enjoyment of the weekend.
The rooms were a little tired and our room had a floor board that had fallen out under the carpet, which we kept stepping into. Really needs fixing.
While coffee maker was a pod type as an extra touch, it leaked and didn't work properly. Also, the shower was not easy to operate and the water pressure was weak.
The room I had at the front of the hotel was noisy early in the morning.
Pull out sofa uncomfortable for adult. Room very small with sofa open. No instructions ahead of time on parking which nicely was behind hotel next door but we already had spent money for 3 hours of city parking just to .work our way to hotel.
The floors and stair case are very uneven and elderly or handicapped
visitors should be warned.
Pigeons on the roof were a bit noisy.
Nepresso machine didn't work.
The heated towel rail didn't get hot.
The bathroom was strange but did the job. That our reservation was lost on arrival and it took an hour to sort out as we had driven 5 hrs. but they did great job of fixing it.
First days breakfast was the worst I've ever had!!!! ANYWHERE!!!! The next tables didn't eat there's either.
No car park.A Number of dishes both in the evening and at breakfast were
unavailable also some wines were unavailable.Three of our group had to
compromise both with starters and main-course,also at breakfast. Most
disappointing.
Nearly didn't book hotel because of bad reviews, could be a little cleaner bed lumpy.
Reception is not always reachable.
Lack of air conditioning on a warm summer night.
room very hot (could not adjust heat and as rooms were on main road too noisy to open window).
My room was a bit tired. Bad stains on carpet, half the bathroom lights needed new bulbs including the one.
My room was dirty (large bit of soggy toast on the floor) and my friends had to change room due to dirt. Staff chaotic and worse, my credit card has been charged twice and they show nil interest in correcting the mistake.
On the Main Street entering the town so surprizingly noisy at night. Pullout couch was uncomfortable to sleep on with poor calibre mattress.
Hard to find staff in reception.
Waiter don't follow what is going on in restaurant, slow service.
The state of the rooms were disgusting - dust on headboards, hair in the sinks and bathrooms. Grime still in the bath and tiles. This would be an extremely brilliant but it is under staffed.
