I stayed in the attic room, which was very quaint and had a ton of character, I absolutely loved the room. The location of this hotel is perfect for relaxing or hiking, it is located right near the water with amazing views. The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. Very approachable staff; fabulous environs, warm, clean and romantic buildings and gardens. Loved the sense of history; staying in Flora McDonald's house.

We have been travelers for many years both as civilian and as Naval personnel and Glencoe House is by far the best place we have stayed! Wonderful location overlooking Loch Leven and the Pap of GlenCoe. Short walk to the GlenCoe Lochan which is beautiful. Easy access to GlenCoe, Fort William, Oban areas. Our suite of rooms (sitting room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom) was very tastefully decorated and furnished, and the owners have taken great care in restoring this beautiful house. Lovely breakfast in private dining room. Owners and staff could not have been more helpful!

A picturesque, peaceful place. Large tasteful bedroom, beautifully furnished. Fabulous bathroom/wet room. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt like we were staying with the owners in their own home rather than paying guests. Breakfast was first class. Can not recommend Sandown House highly enough. -
