  The location is superbe, with magnificent views from our room, the dining room, lounge and terrace. The staff were most attentive and helpful, and we enjoyed the food.   The hotel was beautiful, the setting lovely. There was a wedding taking place but we were warned. However, it would have been good if we could have eaten something at the hotel. Maybe ordered takeaway if nothing else! The staff were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful (especially Russell who appeared to be on duty throughout our stay!) The room... o que as pessoas dizem » was very clean. We could not hear the wedding which we had been assured of. Also the rooms were not too hot as in other hotels we have stayed in - The room we stayed in was a gold room, clearly refurbished to a high standard. Luxurious room with a view out over the gardens and down to the sea. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Ideally placed for a five minute walk down into the harbour where there is a range of bars and clubs. There is a slight hill walk down and back up to the hotel but we didnt find it that bad although it could be for the less agile. All in all a fantastic stay and we will definitely stay again.

  There were excellent facilities at the hotel (swimming pool, games area etc) and plenty to keep our children occupied. The rooms were very clean and well serviced and the hotel is in a great location, near to Torquay town and beach, but in a quiet area. - The friendliness of all the staff was consistent.   This was the second time staying at this hotel. The owners are friendly and courteous and the facilities are what you would expect of a hotel with a much higher star rating. We stayed in a self catering room on this occasion and found it to have everything we needed for a wonderful stay.   Our favourite hotel on our trip.We booked a small room with en suite and it was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was brilliant, right on the harbour. Food was great, people were friendly and a very relaxed attitude. We loved Ilfracombe itself, so much to do and see. Plenty on offer for all types of people. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely breakfast and huge portions. Nothing was too much trouble and even carried our bags up to our room when we said we could manage. Highly recommend paying the extra for a luxury room, the spa bath was fantastic size with plenty of hot water and room for two! Also the huge bed was straight out of fifty shades and really comfy.

  Idyllic location. Friendly & helpful staff. We last used this site 9 years ago but stopped coming due to site needing improvements. The current owners have spent a lot of time & money improving the site and are doing a great job. We stayed in Daisy which is perfect for couples, it was very clean and has everything you need, the only small ... o que as pessoas dizem » negative is the shower water pressure although hot it was a bit feebly. Nice to see the site is now very dog friendly too. Did not get time to sample - The harbour. It was amazing how in the morning one can actually swim in the clean sea, where the spring meets the ocean, and in the evening one can actually walk along the seabed!! The chalet is clean and quite comfortable with a back garden where the children can play. The on site playing ground for the children was an added bonus as was the close walk to the harbour. The location between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin is also convenient, as is the nearby Watermouth Castle, right opposite the str

The pub served a fabulous carvery. The pool facility's were great and we started each day with a swim.
