  Then entrance to the reception was beautiful and the grounds spectacular. Eeverything was available. The food in the resturant was brilliant - Everything was enjoyable it was very peaceful and relaxing.

  My second stay at this hotel. This is a big old Scottish house and feels very special compared with many of the more "standard type" hotels I stay in when travelling on business. Breakfast was excellent with the finest presentation of a plate of porridge I have every seen. Lovely!!! Food and bar prices seem a bit high compared with room rates but,... o que as pessoas dizem » overall, I was happy with value for money. Would certainly like to return. - The extensive and comfortable public rooms and lounges. The substantial area of the double bedroom. Good food and a well stocked bar. Attentive and friendly staff, (special mention for our delightful breakfast waitress) Drying facilities for fishing, secure storeage/cleaning facilities for shooting. Super grounds and proximity to the Abbey. The speed of response to a maintenance issue. See opp.

  This short break was booked for my partners Brithday , we stayed for 2 nights. The room we had was a deluxe double so I can only comment on that type of room , and it was very lovely , large and airy and extremely comfortable. The hotel has a lovely feel to it , it is charming and the environment is completely relaxing. During our stay the staff ... o que as pessoas dizem » were excellent and anything we required was dealt with in an efficient and timely manner. I particularily enjoyed chilling out in the drawing room wit - Everything - didn't want to leave! - log fires in all the main rooms and even some bedrooms - not to be missed is afternoon tea and the knowledgeable bar staff who will educate you in their stock of whiskies and biggest selection of gins that we have ever seen.So peaceful - Duke and Scottish borders should be very proud
