Built in 1904 as the home of artists Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes, Higher Faugan Parc is set in private grounds with a large lawn for guest use. It is close to stunning local beaches. Higher Faugan Parc offers a private holiday experience with no public or communal areas. Each suite has a mini kitchen, sofa, LCD TV, a king-size bed, and can sleep up to 4 people when the sofa bed is used. En suite bathrooms have a bath and shower. Standard and superior en suite rooms are also available and all are serviced daily. Kitchens comprise of a fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. A self-service breakfast is provided in your room. You will find complimentary continental breakfast items to breakfast at your leisure. There is no restaurant or communal space. Providing accommodation only, the peaceful and secluded Higher Faugan Parc is approached by a 500-metre long driveway, and has free parking and a private helipad. If travelling by car, Lands End, Geevor Tin Mine, the Eden Project and St Michael's Mount are good visitor attractions. Due to location a car is recommended, but not essential. Parking is available on site and guests receive free parking for 3 nights if the choose the long-term parking option. Lamorna and Porthcurno beaches are close by, as is Mounts Bay for wind and water sports. Forbes was a member of the influential Newlyn School of painters. Today, artists may enjoy visiting the Newlyn Gallery, Penlee Gallery and Museum, and the Tate Gallery St Ives.

High quality hotel set in its own grounds with excellent facilities and attention to detail, without feeling pretentious. Rooms were large and tastefully furnished/decorated, as was the hotel in general. They were more like suites than standard rooms and were well specified with full facilities. General service was excellent. Location wise I say about as good as it gets for exploring the rugged costs of Cornwall.
todos opiniões » Everything, nice quiet position , Beautifully appointed room, great breakfast selection even though it wasn't the traditional big fry up , it was super , fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissant , white and brown bread to toast , jams , orange juice , cereals. The bed was very comfortable , the bathroom was large and we would urge everyone to treat themselves and book a stay here. Very quiet comfortable accommodation with discrete management. Ideal for couples seeking a superior standard of B and B. Use of car essential. Newlyn port close by with freshly caught fish available. Easy access to Scilly Isles by boat from Penzance. Overall excellence. We had a pleasant attractive room which was well presented. Breakfast was better than most places. Useful hotel to stay at for visiting the local countryside. The owner was helpful with local information and activities. Nice and clean room, very nice location. The continental breakfast in the room might not be everyone`s cup of tea, but it offers flexibility, and there was plenty of food. We were upgraded to a lovely suite as there was a slight mix up with the booking. The accommodation was spotless and luxurious.Great attention to detail. Very friendly host, wonderful room, quiet location, handy for exploring that part of Cornwall. Penzance was, it turned out, quite a pleasant walk away. I liked the way we were given freedom to come and go as we pleased, a most enjoyable 2 night stay.I would Highly recommend recommend Higher Faugan Parc. Relaxed atmosphere. spacious room, comfy bed, quiet location. Nothing. No toiletries in the bathroom. Possibly an oversight ?. Slightly difficult to find, but good directions supplied. Can't remember anything unpleasant. Long life croissants for breakfast. NB: the room rate was not cheap, although it was known that a continental breakfast would be provided, it was expected that it would be of high quality. It wasn't.
