The staff were all so helpful and willing to go the extra mile .....Eddie even went down for strawberry yogurt to a supplier because I asked for some for breakfast...incredible! Everyone made our stay a memorable one Thank you also much We will. Definitely be making recommendations to friends to get their bookings in if up your way . We had a lovely stay with a very warm welcome from Catherine and a very enjoyable evening meal . As we were catching an early morning ferryon Saturday we were too early for breakfast ,but were very knidly (without asking) given substantial packed lunches to take with us - very thoughtful touch.

Rooms average size but well furnished and comfortable. Fabulous view at breakfast over the marina. The room was beautiful and the location and ambiance perfect for a romantic weekend. The staff were excellent and the menu had a great choice, the chosen dinner being excellently cooked and presented. Will definitely stay again when possible. Our rooms overlooking the marina with private entrance. The fact that they take dogs. The owner works extremely hard to make sure everyone is well looked after. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Have stayed here before and plan to visit again. the location is superb as a marina hotel so peaceful looking out onto marina, the hotel is spotless clean and the staff are very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful would definitely return good value for money too. We enjoyed our stay, dinner and breakfast were both good as was the room.We enjoyed our stay .The staff were all pleasant and made our little dog very welcome.Its in a lovely setting and we found our stay very relaxing. This was through absolutley no fault of the proprieters,but from a party of noisy,ignorant sailers who turned up much later than their booked time,had no respect for fellow guests,any of the staff and certainly not for the chef. The staff coped admirably and politely in a situation where they could easily have not. No complaints. minor gripe - there were no specials on for dinner. The chef sings rather loudly. wouldn't say anything too negative only if it is luxury your looking for it isn't that standard but homely and nice. Having to leave so early. Nothing really. Wifi extended to the rooms would be a good thing. Bathroom was cold because of the tiled floor. Unfortunately due to the design of the room we could not benefit from the lovely view. A small unit for storage in the bathroom would have been very useful. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. cant think of anything i didnt like. There is a busy road passing by one side of hotel which was noisey & could be a concern with people with young children. Nothing. the shower was a bit too small for me as am tall. No dislikes. When we arrived letsbookhotel.com had not sent the hotel confirmation of our booking. Luckily they had rooms available. Little chaotic - staffing issues let the management down. Very small television. slight road noise. Nothing. Had to ask for heating to be switched on (visited end of October). Bathroom, nowhere to put your toiletries, also shower couldn't be turned to hot. Informed staff in the morning who apologised and offered to open up another room for us to shower. Exterior of cabins a bit dated but clean inside. Not a lot to do and 5 miles from Oban. The room was really small. staff were a bit stretched on the night we we were there. nothing. didn't get the room serviced on the second day. Internet didn't work in the room or in the public area. Bathroom had a lot of hair stuck to the walls, sink and the shower head was thick with black mildew. Noise from the road a problem due to the ill fitting windows. Matteress was not comfortable for any one with 'back problems'. accomodation noisy as positioned over bar and toilets. The room we were given(No3) was nice if a bit tired looking. Unfortunately the bed was covered in black dog hair and the clean towels placed on top. Didn't stay at the accommodation as a result. Took me over 3 hours to find alternative room some 20 miles away. Very disappointed. No bath in en suite. Breakfast fry up a tad greasy, but tasty enough. Some of our party had drinks poured over them by a member of staff and no offer to cover cleaning bills or anything was made. On checking out I noticed a night's meal wasn't charged, I wish I hadn't bothered saying anything because they were awkward, unfriendly and verging on abusive about my offer to pay it. Only had a bowl of soup at lunchtime, but we were disappointed in the quality and thought the price high. Breakfast good. When I made the booking I asked for an easy access ground floor room since I had my dog and it's cage with me. I phoned two weeks before to check the room and was told it was ok. When I got there the room was not available and I had a room up a narrow stair with a dog leg. Even although they helped me up and down morning and night I was very annoyed. Since they were not honest I would not sty there again.
