O que as pessoas dizem
The decor and the ambience are fabulous, the whole concept is fantastic, the rooms, the gorgeous indulgent restaurant, the cosiness and opulence of the cocktail bar, but the most fantastic idea I have not come across before; the pantry! Kitted out with lovely units, perfectly located to the bedrooms and the cake makes a welcome treat.
The staff very friendly, the reception staff helpful, and quirky touches (check out the mini glass bottles of warmed milk) and the dinkiest kiln jars of ja. todos opiniões »
Fantastic hotel, art deco/contemporary design but with Victorian London architecture. The bar and restaurant remind me of boutique Miami locations.
Excellent location for Kings Cross/St Pancres & easy hop to the West End.
Great cocktails, nice ambience in the bar and the restaurant was more like a dining room, with initmate feel, great food and excellent service.
Rooms are not huge and but comfortable and very well furnished.
Great hotel.
All listed above but have to add the exceptional treatment from your cocktail staff, they made our weekend feel extra special, we felt they gave us a personal little added touch, which is a fabulous way to make each of your guests feel. A true credit to your hotel.
Thank you for a wonderful break.
Would adore another visit in the future and will recommend you with the highest of praise.
This hotel has been refurbished to very high standard, the room we stayed in although small was fitted out to a high standard with a large comfortable bed, quality TV, Nespresso Coffee Machine, complimentary water. Each floor has a pantry where you can make further drinks and provides biscuits, pastries, sweets and newspapers. Very well located right on Kings Cross Railway station.
Staff were excellent, very polite, friendly and helpful. Really liked the pantry facility. The room was comfortable, I know some people have complained about room size, whilst it was not an overly large room it was certainly spacious enough - we never felt cramped, and the decor was fantastic. Brilliant location if you are travelling on the Eurostar as we were.
Old on the outside, brand new on the inside. Small but perfectly formed. Very good quality fittings throughout ( switches, light fittings, taps, shower heads, roller blinds, curtains etc). Deep double glazing keeps external noise to a minimum. Each floor has a 'pantry' with coffee/tea making facilities and is well stocked with cakes and biscuits. Great!.
We booked into this hotel last minute after being majorly disgusted and disappointed with an original booking at a nearby hotel. I can honestly not say a bad word against The Great Northern Hotel! The staff were fantastic, the hotel itself is just gorgeous and we will definitely be returning here! The clue is in the name, this really is a GREAT hotel!!!!.
Staff were all so lovely! The kitchen staff 1 especially assisted with my mums vegan dietary requirements personally. The room was immaculate, the decor was lovely. Having the pantry down the hall was lovely! The lady that worked on the front desk of the restaurant was very helpful and sweet. Would definitely stay here again. Located was perfect.
The decor was beautiful!
Location was excellent! The hotel was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable and we had no noise from outside or any other rooms.
The mini bar was the same price as a normal shop.
We went to the restaurant and the food was impeccable!
I cannot say a bad word about this place! I would definitely stay again!.
I loved the pantry on every floor. The freshly baked goods were wonderful and there was great variety to them. (I stayed four nights at the hotel...) The room on the 5th floor was not large, but beautifully appointed and the bathroom had luxurious toiletries. The staff was also extremely friendly without being obsequious.
The location is brilliant - adjacent to King's Cross station and the underground network. Well furnished modern room, brilliant shower, good restaurant. Friendly and professional staff. Good coffee machine in room (but no kettle for tea drinkers) and free cake and biscuits in pantry along the wide and sweeping corridor.
Beautiful comfortable room; the Pantry at the end of the corridor had self-service tea and coffee, sweets and home-made cakes and the Newspapers; it is so convenient for King's Cross-St Pancras stations - you don't have to trail your luggage around London. They have good wheelchair-accessible rooms too.
Stunning refurbishment. The whole hotel was in a great condition and very stylish. Reception staff were excellent. Room was very quiet and dark at night despite city centre location. Pantry at end of corridor was a nice surprise! Stunning breakfast room in the early morning with sun streaming in.
24 h floor Kitchen equipped with nice cakes, teas, coffees and all of it included :-) Excellent bathroom shower with the rain-dish. The hotel is new so everything is spotless clean. Double window gives you quiet environment to rest. VOD with nice selection of films is included as well.
We were taking the train to Paris early so selected Great Nortern for one night so we could be close to the St Pances station. The location for this purpose was perfect and we were weary travelers at this point so decided to eat in the resturant which was our best meal in London.
Amazing Hotel!! Staff was phenomenal and the hotel was gorgeous!! Mark at the front desk was friendly and fun! He even brought me a iphone charger as i had forgotten to pack one! Great location close to train station and tube, as well as numerous pubs and restaurants.
Great hotel and good value for money. Fresh design throughout, cosy beds, friendly staff and 1min to the Piccadilly line. Free Pantry at the end of each corridor has fresh coffee, tee, snacks and newspapers. Highly recommend this hotel and would go back in a heartbeat.
The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful in suggesting sites we should see while we were in London for a short time. The rooms were impeccable and we were treated like royalty. The food in the hotel's restaurant was delicious and the waitstaff was wonderful.
The hotel was ideally situated for tubes and taxis. The layout of the hotel was excellent and especially the pantry rooms at the end if each floor . It was good to come back and have a cup of coffee and cake. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.
I loved that I was next to the station but heard none of the noise! Room
was beautiful. Staff were incredibly helpful. I love the NEspresso Coffee-
big kudos for that one! Love the room layout, comfort, big bath area--
all that one needs is there.
As it was a newly refurbished hotel everything was clean and fresh, with very friendly staff. The bar was great for a drink in the evening with a good atmosphere. The three rooms we had were very nice, but two of them were on the small side.
loved the decor of the hotel, great bar not too big but very inviting as was the restauraunt /breakfast room. lovely comfy bed and bedding.Staff very friendly all looked very smart but in a relaxed modern way.great location. Fantastic hotel.
Very modern and well appointed hotel and perfect for the Eurostar. The room was spotless and all the facilities had a solid high-class feel to them. The pantry concept is perfect but the cake too tempting! Competitively priced for the area.
Everything!! There is only one way to describe this new hotel... Wonderful. I will stay there whenever I can get a room as I am in london every week. But I think I will have to be quick as I expect it will be fully booked most of the time.
The restaurant was lovely and the staff were helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the pillows on the bed were heavenly. The location next to the train station was great when coming in late on the train from the airport.
So convenient and hassle free. Staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming without being over the top. My Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. I wonder what that delicious low fat dressing was? Very happy and I will stay again.
Everything was perfect at the Great Northern Hotel, we can't suggest any improvements. We stayed in the Waldorf Hotel London several weeks ago and it does not compare with the GN, I would say the GN is a 5 star Hotel plus incomparison.
The location of the hotel was particularly good, just a few steps away of St. Pancras/King's Cross Train Stations. Staff was efficient and helpful. The hotel was quite recently renovated and so everything seems brand-new.
The newly renovated hotel is just wonderful! The room is clean and comfortable with simple design. The lovely pantry offers me with what I love- coffee & snacks. Love this hotel so much and definitely coming back!.
Stunning hotel. Beautifully finished, fantastic staff and excellent location. Love the pantry idea - full of really nice touches, plus the bar and restaurant are definitely worth frequenting. Highly recommended.
I was worried it would be a bit noisy because of its location but I did not hear a thing.Loved everything about this hotel, lovely room friendly staff & fantastic food. Good location right next to Kings Cross.
Staff very friendly and obliging and the room was lovely - a corner room so good views - very quiet despite the location next to Kings Cross rail station. Very comfy bed. The pantry in the corridor was a plus.
Stylish hotel, spotlessly clean, lovely room & bathroom, amazingly quiet considering the location, loads of free TV channels, very good Wi-Fi signal in room which was free, the hotel bars were really nice.
Location. Very comfy bed and lovely pillows and bed linen. Liked the pantry on each floor idea but it would have been good to be able to have a cup of tea in bed without having to trip down the corridor!.
The helpfull staff, the rooms are well designed. I loved having the coffee facility in the room it would have been nice to be able to make tea in the room as well but the pantry is a brilliant feature.
Much better value than the St Pancras Renaissance hotel opposite. Great idea to have the pantry with free cake, coffee, papers etc. you feel that they value your custom. Not even free water at St P!.
The rooms were clean, not a bad size for London. A good safety feature was having to use the key card to enter each floor after using the lifts. Very pleasant and helpful staff and a good breakfast.
Great hotel; great staff; superb location (& surprisingly not a lot of outside noise given the location); room was a delight - so many great features; oh & did I mention the great staff?.
Everything was perfect . Very clean and luxurious for a great price . Also a fantastic restaurant inside the hotel which is very convenient along with kings cross underground right outside !.
New furnishings. Clean hotel. Great location near the Underground and train stations. Good restaurant and bar on site. Would definitely consider this hotel on my next trip to London.
Perfect location as I was going to catch the Eurostar the next day. My upgrade to a larger and more comfortable room. The pantry with supply of sweet goodies like mince pies.
The pantry at the end of each hallway was always well stocked with cake an snacks, plus amazing nespresso machine. Bar downstairs was always lively and cocktails were amazing!.
Perfect location for a late Eurostar arrival. Brand new hotel that looks great, and is really comfortable. Staff were really helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Shower was magnificent. Once you were in the bed it was very
comfortable. Curtain was operated by a remote swirch; otherwise only
accessible by climbing on bed.
The rooms were clean I well sized. The media available for free is amazing: free movies, audio books!! Location is nice too, next to King Cross / St Pancreas.
The location is excellent, and staffs were also very nice and always quite helpful, they found my mobile charger lost at room, and it really saved my life!.
It was a magnificent experience, we liked the design of the room and especially the bath. We also welcomed the complementary tea/ coffee/ biscuits.
The comfy bed, great view from the window, all the little extras, the pantry!
Had a great meal in Plum & Spilt Milk too. Food was excellent.
Iconic building superbly renovated excellent staff and great location. Pantry is a great idea along with security. Will definitely stay again !.

Would have liked a small writing desk with appropriate chair but this is a very minor gripe as the table and small sofa can be worked from.
I wish my room had been a tiny bit larger... in all honesty, I did not make an attempt to request anything bigger; maybe I would have lucked out?.
Built in bed a little hard, and awkwardly placed - with one side of double bed against a wall. Inadequate pillows. Insufficient space for hanging clothes in wardrobe.
I loved this hotel - the only minor negative is that the Cocktail Bar was quite expensive, (but so is the rest of London) and the wardrobe space in the room is quite small, enough space for a couple of days but not for a longer stay. However, I think you can pay a supplement and upgrade to a bigger room.
Room a touch small for the price but understandable as it is a historic building. Breakfast staff not knowledgable on serving breakfast i.e served omelettes to me and my wife before the pastry I had ordered. Served hot water for tea pot in a mini glass milk bottle. Chased me out the door to get me to sign for bill. Breakfast not included in room price.
Unfortunately this super nice hotel is ideal ONLY for singles OR COUPLES MADLY IN LOVE because the size of the room is so tiny that you have to touch each other nonstop when you are both in the room. The "king size" bed has 140cm width :-).
The high tech locks and electricity were a little too futuristic. Even my tech savy daughter was challenged. Staff was helpful however to fix our issue.
the bar and restaurant are pricey.
There was nothing I didn't like. In fact, I would recommend the
hotel in a heartbeat and have already. The rennovation is gorgeous! If I
had a "gripe" it would be slow service in the bar. There was
only one person working at lunchtime, it was very busy and I had to wait
so long for attention that I left and walked to the Cornwalis Pub
instead. Shame. But the hotel stay was perfect.
Entrance not clear for hotel little awkward for reception and not signed. Wardrobes practically non-exicitent .
Not a thing.
The housekeeping service for a few days in a row failed to take away dirty dishes and face cloths that were obviously dirty which made me skeptical about the cleaning. As well they did not replace the dirty dishes with new clean ones (ie used coffee cups and water glasses).
A bit difficult to find your way around.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
The rooms are extremely small that even you cannot use the smallest closet I have ever seen. There is no slippers in the room which is not good for a five-star standard hotel. The rooms do not have the required equipments but an espresso machine. There is no gym in the hotel which is not good for this standard either.
Nothing.
The reality that the prices will soon rise be beyond my corporate budget and room availability will be scarce!.
Nothing.
The breakfast was not marvellous and not hot and was quite costly. The staff in the dining room were good. I would have liked a kettle in my room - there was a great coffee machine but I prefer tea.
Coffee machine in room didn't work and no tea. Reception area was tiny and didn't do justice to the hotel. Our room was lovely, but a bit on the small side. The hotel restaurant was in a beautiful room but we were a bit disappointed with the food, considering how much we paid for our Sunday lunch.
Not sure why we were allocated a room with bathroom for disabled?. Lack of storage and very poorly planned bathroom not sure how a disabled person would manage. V little storage in bedroom also.
Nothing.
At present its a new hotel - soon other people will use it !.
loved it all.
Tiny room.
The fact that there were no tea making facilities in my room.
Room was quite small. Double bed took up most of the space and was
accessible only from one side. Ok for one person but awkward for two.
Room was supposed to be a double.
The price might be on the high side a bit.
No lobby. Except for the bar area, too noisy for me.
the ceiling is a bit lower for me, and room is too small.
Service was a bit over zealous in restaurant, too many waiters clearing table as we ate, didn't like that.
Unfortunatley heating and towel rail inoperative but we were moved to a different room without any hassle !.
