We stayed in the McDonald Bath spa hotel so we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The staff can't do enough for you, opens doors always ask if your ok and if there's anything they can do for us. We arrived with our son who is wheelchair bound , and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She even sent his breakfast up to him on a tray!!! FANTASTIC....The building couldnt have been more central!! All in all, a fantastic budget place to stay in Edinburgh. The owner should be very proud , they do a fantastic job, we loved our stay here.

Morag (the owner) was VERY nice and courteous. She greeted us warmly and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing each day and how we were enjoying Scotland. Also, her breakfast was great and always waiting. Meats, cheeses, huge croissants, choice of cereals and juices.

Staff were welcoming on arrival and gave us plenty of information. The room was just what we needed, it was clean comfortable and cosy(important for Edinburgh in the winter). Staff were fantastic. Really friendly and efficient and interested in making our stay enjoyable.
We thought the apartment was well designed, spotless, well furnished and perfect for a short city break. It was very relaxing.
The facilities were great, eg cooking and washing etc.
The location was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Edinburgh.
We would not hesitate to stay there again, it's much better value and more enjoyable than a hotel.

This is a B&B we will return to. At a perfect spot in “Edinburgh new town”, in the middle of shopping and restaurant areas. The building originally from early 19th century is well preserved and nicely taken to the 21st. The top floor stairs is old and torn but so full of charms. Nice rooms in harmony with building, furniture and facilities. Run by friendly owners and an adorable old cat watching the lounge. Good WI-FI. Breakfast is served at neighbouring Rick’s Hotel, really good.

The hotel is located above the Rick's bar and restaurant. However, the noises won't reach the rooms. The room is a bit compact but cosy enough. There are a wide range of drinks that could be chosen in the minibar of the room. And breakfast could also be ordered from the restaurant below. The location is good which is not far from the castle.
