  Overall quality of the place was really high including most comfortable bed I have ever slept, so clean and big room).. John was at there when we need and he is very helpful, friendly and kind. After staying one day you feel like you are at home more than a hotel. Location is 15-20 mins to the center and 5 mins by bus which is really good. I will - Room was very nicely and comfortably furnished, inpeccably clean that it made me feel at home immediately. There were nearby bus stops but I had preferred to walk (about 15 minutes to Waverley Station). A large supermarket (Tesco) is 5 minutes away and so are a number of restaurants. I went on a day tour that set off early in the morning and John (the owner) gladly served breakfast earlier than usual for me, so that was great hospitality. If it were not fully booked, I'd have loved to stay at M

  The people at Martins Guesthouse were very friendly and the breakfast was perfect. I had the small room with a tiny ensuite bathroom on the top floor, but I knew that beforehand and I do not need much space - so it was perfectly ok for me.   Staff lovely, very informative. The room was nice and big, very clean and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in! A fridge in the room which was helpful and a lovely settee for when you get back from a long day sightseeing! It is also very close to walk if the weather is nice. No comparison to other guest houses in the area, this stood - the host and owner was very friendly, helpful and nice. Fhe room itself was smaller than expected for a family room. As I was alone in the room it was fine. but 3 people in this are definately will not work. The area itself is soso. Got called names from some youngsters one evening after I declined to give them money. Would love to,come back.

  We really enjoyed the staying in this hotel. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Huge rooms, Great place to stay.. No doubt about it. Good job guys we loved it and we will be back... Thanks - we could get anything without no as an answer.

  thought it was well worth the money and would definately use again - clean, nice friendly lady (only saw this one member of staff) but she was v helpful. room very clean and bed was comfortably but its a bit dated.
