  The cleanliness of the room and the beds was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, it is a quiet neighbourhood, so you can get enough sleep to gain energy to walk thru busy streets of London and the nearness of the tubes, local pubs, bus stations and supermarkets is really great (about a 5min walk to both stations). The rooms are okay and the breakfast is just okay for the day's start. Good place to meet nice people from other parts of the world. Price is just okay (not cheap/not expensive) because the hostel is situated in a nice location close to the city center.

  Even though we were booked into the Sapphire, we ended up a few doors down at the 'Pearl' which is their sister Hotel. All rooms in each Hotel are the same according to the Pearl Manager, so that was fine with us. Our room was in the 'sub' area below street level, but still with a window to the outside so wasn't claustrophobic. Brea - I was very pleased with the service when I arrived, the people were polite and immediately got me an iron, which I needed as I was on a business trip. The room was quiet and I was most impressed with the bed. Very clean egyptian sheets and good mattress. An added surprise for me was the continental breakfast. I thought I would just be offered a croissant! I also had scrambled egg on toast which was great! Because of my experience I have re-booked again for my next business trip and I hope the e
