I didn't arrive until 11.30 pm because of a delayed journey from London, however the person on duty was very helpful. I requested an iron and iroing board at 7.30 am the nextmorning which was brought immediately. The staff were friendly,helpul and professional.They could not fo enough for us.We were very surprised at the variety of the dinner menu and the "specials"available.We decided to eat in and enjoyed a superb well cpoked meal.Breakfast very good too and no traffic noise even though I was at the front of the hotel. -

The pool was superb, good hearty breakfast(full English), only a 20 min walk into town and a hotel with free parking(unusual for York). Nice standard 2 star hotel which was comfortable with every thing working. Really good restaurant too. Found most guest houses charging the same rate and with this hotel i had alot of facilities to use eg Restauran

This is a quaint hotel. Best accessible via car. However, easy accessvia bus. Should indicate bus route from downtown. Place is veryclean,beds are very comfortable. Good value for the money. Location ifnear downtown, there is a cute pub across from the hotel.If at all,buses run frequently which is more accessible via bus than by car.Highlyrecommend
