The area was quiet, facilities were very good, shops near by & a great shower. The staff were on hand by telephone and email plus the customer care they gave was excellent and dealt with problems quickly & efficiently. They accommodated all our needs. The little touches of shampoo, shower cremes towels plus the large candle in the living room was great. The Apple Mac station was a bonus as I had my own Mac and didn't have to share! The apartment was very spacious and had everything you could possibly need. A well equipped kitchen, sky television, music, DVD, with a selection of DVDs and books. The bathroom also was equipped with all shower amenities, hand soap and other goodies. A lovely big walkin shower with two shower heads. The sleigh bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again it was very comfortable and the town just ten minute walk away.
Really well equipped apartment. Decoration is tasteful and all the furniture is comfortable. Peaceful location but close enough to walk into the city centre and only 5 minutes from Waitrose. Free parking on site is also a bonus. All staff very helpful and friendly.

A lovely spacious apartment with gorgeous period features. I couldn't get the heating to come on or the sky tv to work but this was quickly resolved via a call to the caretaker.
The kitchen is very well equipped and the lounge is comfortable with a good size TV, SKY, Wi-Fi, MAC and hi fi . The furnishings and style of the apartment are fabulous.

Could do with some new pots & pans as they were non -stick but rusty. A freezer would of been good as my ice cream melted before I could eat some and due to the hot weather some ice would of been splendid. Finding the apartment was a little difficult so could of done with some more signs outside the road & leading up to the destination (as we arrived in the night). An a mop would of been very handy too.
The wrought iron stairs leading up the apartment could be a problem for some people. A light would be useful in the evening to key in the code on the outside door. Instructions on how things work would be ideal. For example, heating, as it was quite chilly when we arrived. Washing machine, dryer and for some people sky television if people haven't used it before.
The door at the top of the stairs opening outwards is a bit tricky if you're not expecting it and have your hands full of luggage.
Although there was lots of lovely hot water on demand the shower was a trickle. A pump should be installed.
The smell on the landing needs some attention and the duvet tog rating was too high.
A hairdryer would have been nice.
Staircase up to flat is quite steep and not for vertigo sufferers. In a student area so a bit of noise but nothing that bothered us too much.
Unfortunately the space is not designed to accomodate children. Look at
it for an adult get away.
1. Directions were almost compltely useless and need to be rethought
2. No soap of any kind provided .. it's pennies but it counts at 06:00 which is when I discovered there were no shower/wash aids at all.
Wi-fi didn't work, the exterior stairs were disappointing and the Mac didn't work. There should be a welcome folder with instructions for the equipment.
A microwave would have been ideal.....
Just the stairs to enter need a bit of attention.
There was nothing really not to like . Only the frying pans would not cook on the induction hob and I had to fry in a saucepan . Which gave us a good laugh.
Outside of building looked a little scruffy and run down.
We tried the new Appt 2 this time which was more expensive but actually we preferred the open plan appt. A welcome guide with directions of how to use the TV/computer and local amenities would be useful. WiFi on our laptop was impossible.

Couldn't double lock the door at night which left me feeling
slightly insecure, very noisy with people going in and out of the
building all through the night.

I wish there had been directions for finding the apartment on foot/bus - not everyone arrives in a car. Once I'd got used to it, it was fine to walk from the city centre (and there were buses too).

Noise at night from people next door.
not being able to get in - we were not told 'pin' entry number had changed, first phone call to careteker unanswered + 2 phone calls to owners unanswered. Last phone call 1 hour later to caretaker finally answered & we were then given new entry code.
No instruction manuals for washing machine or pc nor was there any freezer to store food so had to buy veg day by day.
No chest of drawers to store underwear, socks etc.
