Travelled down for a wedding in Dunster. Brilliant staff who went out of their way to accommodate our early check in, taxi requests and late check out!
Really would not have enjoyed ourselves half as much if it wasn't for the amazing staff! Really appreciate everything they did for us.
Would recommend staying here and if we were ever heading to Dunster again would stay here ourselves.
Lovely welcome upon arrival.
Great breakfast selection and good coffee. It was so lovely to be able to sleep with our windows open and feel safe. In the morning it was beautiful to wake up to the birds chirping. Quaint village and attractive surroundings.todos opiniões »
It's a small village inn, that won pub of the year 2012, the staff here are so friendly, it has accommodation, food and is a meeting place for the village.
The breakfast was of a good standard and the room was comfortable and clean.
A lovely location, and very good value for bed and breakfast. The full English breakfast was excellent and set you up for the rest of the day.
The lanes were very narrow getting to it and a Sat Nav is essential.
The 2 female staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble friendly & attentive. Rooms were clean & meals were excellent.Lovely old pub, log fire & welcoming . Recommend to all.
The staff were very friendly and helpful we were late for breakfast but that didn't present a problem.the breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked tasty and well presented.
Nice simple accomodation for an absolute bargain price. Really friendly landlady and staff, good food, good beer, good night's sleep. Will use this place again.
A warm welcome.
Comfortable room.
Excellent food.
Good value.
Quiet, rural setting, within reach of Dunster, Exmoor and the coast.
A very enjoyable stay.
We liked the lovely atmosphere of The Royal Oak, the wildlife, clean and comfortable room and the friendly staff all made our stay there very enjoyable.
A friendly athmosphere in thist great Little village. The room was very
nice but a bit noisy because it was right over the pub.
Friendly hard working staff-created a good and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent breakfasts, could not be faulted.
A friendly welcome, great views and the staff went the extra mile for my son's birthday.
Loved the peace and quiet. Louise the lovely friendly landlady. Great food I. The bar.
Very nice place far away from traffic and other disturbances. Cosy dining restaurant.

Actually Everything.
Everything about it could'nt find anything to complain about.
the peace and quiet due to the fact not many people about.
Charm of the local area.Peace and quiet. Friendly staff.
We could not have felt more welcome.
The staff - helpful and friendly.
Service and cleanliness and food.
Good location
Free car park.
It was in a pretty area, but nothing there. So we had to drive all the time as it was over 20 minutes from Dunster. Which it should not have on the site as the address.
The location is fantastic, if you manage to find the place. It is not in Luxborough, it is in Kingsbridge. The letsbookhotel.com directions are totally inadequate.
friendly staff.
Beds were a little firm for our liking.
People have to remember it's an old village pub not a hotel in Somerset that hit bad times and has been re-opened while trying to find a new owner.
Nothing to dislike.
Only a bath no shower not a problem to us but some might.
I would have liked a tv in my room, however my wife would disagree. There was no shower ,however my wife was more than happy with a bath.i think these are just personal preferences that didn't distract from my stay.
Missed the TV and radio otherwise everything was good.
Not quite enough evening menu choice, but very short staffed when we were there - set to improve shortly I believe.
No tv in our room.
the food could be better.
Nothing.
How to get there Sat Nav could not pick it up due to roads have no names. signs were all green and not visable.
Difficulty in finding the Royal Oak. Directions would have been helpful.
Lack of atmosphere.
No mobile network coverage
No TV in the room
No armchairs in the room.
We were asked to pay when we arrived even though she had our card details.
On the first night, when my partner ordered drinks for four the landlady got one wrong and would not replace it. Even though we all heard what he had ordered. So we did not drink in there again. No TV in room.
The quality of the breakfast was extremely variable, depending which cook was on duty.
When one books a small double room one at least expects to have somewhere to put some clothes and at least a shelf in the bathroom for a toothbrush. This room had nothing.
The bed was uncomfortably hard.
no shower, several rooms shown in photos with shower.
