This charming 350-year-old house was originally Chipping Sodbury’s bank. The historically listed building is 3 storeys high, and offers delicious breakfasts, free parking and free Wi-Fi.
Full English breakfast is freshly prepared each morning, made from high-quality local ingredients. Lighter options are available, and The Moda House also serves its own homemade marmalade.
Traditionally furnished with wooden furnishings and a work desk, some of The Moda's rooms also retain original wooden beams. Each room benefits from satellite TV and facilities for making tea and coffee.
Chipping Sodbury can be reached in 2 minutes on foot, and has a wide High Street with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has a pretty market square surrounded by period houses, and is a 30-minute drive from Bath.

Everything. Delightful house in charming setting. Room and bathroom very comfortable - excellent extra touches (decent coffee and toiletries, + bottled water). Large comfortable bed. Very good breakfast, pleasantly served. Owners friendly and welcoming (would have gladly chatted longer about travel experiences) - very decent value for money.
I love this hotel the view from our windows of the high street was wonderful, the staff were so helpful and always very polite. The included breakfast was great and a very attentive waitress. I will certainly return.todos opiniões »

Very helpful owner of hotel.
Everything.
Nice people and an excellent breakfast.
Nothing.
On street parking in main road was a bit hit and miss as to how close you could park to the hotel.
Parking on road and a little difficult to get a space near the hotel
As with property of this age floor wasn't level which meant the head of bed was lower than feet.
There was nothing we did not like.
A very minor point - as a retiree I would have liked a more comfortable armchair in my room.
The ceiling lights in the bathroom were so dim that it was impossible to see one's face in the mirror and there was even insufficient light to see to comb your hair.
Lack of secure parking.
Old building and floor so bed slanted to one side and often awoke due to rolling to edge of bed. Some minor leveling of bed legs would help.
Double bed too small, no bath.
Shower a bit temperamental.
Nothing to report.
Oh dear. No parking, a very steep staircase to the room.
Poor secondary double glazing which did nothing to reduce never ending traffic noise and the plumbing.
All night the pipes creaked and it was like waiting for the dog to bark next.
Not recommended.
