Anstey Hall is a Grade I mansion situated within its own parkland. It features luxurious bedrooms enhanced with impressionist paintings and also offers free on-site parking. Anstey Hall is fabulous! I would describe it as "Boho Chic....The Building is wonderful and the decor fun and stylish. I stayed in room 6, wonderful comfortable bed, pillows and linen, beautiful wetroom. An honesty bar - very well stocked and breakfast in the ballroom, help yourself to a fantastic array of Coffee, teas and juices, pastries, fresh fruits and berries, yogurts, Cold meats and cheeses etc. Grounds were beautiful and staff were friendly and helpful. I shall definitely go back.
todos opiniões » We booked the hotel as a stopover for the duxford air display. We found the hotel to be in a stunning old mansion house which was lovingly restored and maintained by its present owner. The rooms were excellent with a really good size ensuite bathroom. The grounds were large and it was really great to be able to enjoy a glass of wine on the veranda. It was a great stay and I would happily recommend it to family, friends and complete strangers. The wonderfully large rooms and bathroom which were luxurious and clean. Very romantic and full of genuine character in keeping with this Grade 1 Listed old building and Cambridge city just a bus ride away... We loved the self-service breakfast with all the ancestral portraits on the walls and a wide choice of foods which included fresh berries and smoked salmon if one so desired. A lovely stay!. well restored beautiful grade 1 listed building with all its glamour and paintings, it was a real treat to stay in such high class English manor home, rooms were furnished magnificently, breakfast was excellent and the gardens beautiful, walking distance from the orchid tea rooms and a nice country pub serves excellent food 5 minutes away, very happy. Bathroom, half of the room, lovely, enjoyed bubble bath together with glass of bailey's. Friendly staff, breakfast made by us, which some don't like, we loved. A stunning stately home, restored with great style and passion. It is like stepping back to a time of elegance. At breakfast, you are surrounded by works of art comparable to Versailles. The owner and staff are very hospitable and obliging. We will be back with our family to experience the other rooms. A unique stay. A building full of character which has been well restored. I loved my stop at Anstey Hall I was very impressed with the size of the room, and bathroom... Breakfast was lovely too plenty of selection no full english but impressive selection. Totally quirky and wonderful. Huge room with four poster bed and lovely bathroom with large claw foot tub. Just the place to go if you're not a fan of Marriotts, Holiday Inns etc. Lovely traditional feeling to the hall but recently refurbished so it also has all of the modern comforts - great value too and perfect for visiting Cambridge. Great location, fantastic,atmospheric listed building, tastfully decorated well equipped bedroom, a warm welcome and wonderful choice at breakfast. Quality. Ambience, charachter, attitude of hosts (more like being a guest than a member of the public paying for a service), welcoming and trusting. When the bed broke in our bedroom we got an upgrade straight away and the staff was ever so friendly. Very accomodating. A real treat. Staff were amazing and the place was absolutely beautiful. Could have done with black out curtains, but I am a very light sleeper. I'm not sure I can find fault with any aspect of our stay. It's not place for everyone, but we loved everything so nothing here. Nothing. There was nothing I didn't like. Nothing not to like, though it took a few minutes to master the shower. it was perfect!. The cheap jarring notes, e.g. plastic toilet seats, mops in corridors. No signs so hard to find in the dark and hard to know you've arrived!!. nothing. Shower was okay but not the terrential downpour I am used to :). It would have been better if a cooked breakfast had been available. Would have liked a cooked breakfast. Nothing. The drive into Cambridge is very slow, so be prepared and take extra time. Nothing really. Nothing. Can't say because I was just taken aback that I found a gem to stay in future for work. no bacon for breakfast. Water pressure in shower low. Reception staff sometimes hard to find. The breakfast selection. Nothing. Lacking warmth - large empty hotel Room furnishings were uninspired No permanent staff seemed to be around, for example bar was unmanned at 9pm on a Tuesday night. having to cook my own breakfast and make my own cafetiere. No reception, so I wasn't sure what to do when I arrived. It could be an amazing place but lacks some love and attention and is just OK. Staff a little disorganised (didn't explain about breakfast, no bill available in the morning, etc) and the Wifi wasn't working on arrival (but was fixed later). eccentric furniture a mixture of old and new no wardrobes no coathangers ensuite new but water flowing towards bedroom not into drain floor saturated with standing water.breakfast with no milk jugs no sugar bowls self service a joke.still awaiting my vat receipt for tax purposes.
