The owner was extremely friendly and helpful.Still suffering from old reviews of previous owner. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here, and the price was as good as you can get for a bed and breakfast.Breakfast was consistently good.Live music in the bar below the rooms,so don't book here for a peaceful break, but great if you like live music.Fantastic sunsets to be viewed over the menai strait, sat outside with a good pint in your hand!. todos opiniões »
Most amazing location for the money on our trip. We had the front family room as no one else was there, well worth the extra money, left hand window looked out at the Edward I castle, front window overlooked the water. Really great food, friendly staff and pub regulars, great breakfast. A value highlight of our trip.
Lovely, friendly staff, great food and a clean, comfortable room. FANTASTIC location. The sunset over Anglesey was magic and my grandson loved spinning stones into the sea. Brilliant value hotel right under the Eagle Tower and on top of the harbour.
We watched the sunset from the outside tables, food good, close to castle and Town Centre, very unique. Hot B'fast not available till after 8am. We had to leave early and were offered a cold breakfast delivered to our room. THANKS!.
Location was fantastic, actually built onto the castle walls. Lovely old inn with character & charm. Friendly staff, wooden fire and good food. Even the shared facilties were kept very nice.
A wonderful place full of character and history. The staff and mine host were very friendly the breakfast was a proper meal. The bathroom whilst shared was not a problem all in a wonderful stay.
Just loved the staff, they really went out of their way to help us, kept
us informed and were generally brilliant. We love you guys.. And we came
third in their Thursday ev Pub Quiz xxxx.
Wonderful location (on the one hand the castle on the other side the sea), free parking, internet and very clean rooms. Super managment and whole-working staff. Very good breakfast.
Loved the position - very atmospheric and historical - amazing views.
Really friendly owner and great staff. Would defiantly stay there again.
Its been 3 times we have stayed there and all 3 times have been great, friendly atmosphere, stunning views and would defo recommend to anybody.
Excellent value for money
Good friendly pub
Good quality food for sale in the bar
Excellent location between the harbour and castle.
Location. Convenient for the town facilities. View. Breakfast. Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Comfortable beds.
Nice place in a pub right next to castle and waterfront. Lots to see and do in the area. I hope to stay there again.
Location is fabulous, rooms clean and comfortable, good breakfast, excellent value.
Friendly staff, good views, nice breakfast, good wi fi,.
Friendly, easy going, x great breakfasts.
good friendly +good meals.
Location.
Attached to wall that is attached to the castle so made it convenient to tour the castle as soon as it opened. Close to eating establishments. Easy to find. The owner at breakfast was pleasant with us when we advised him of the preceding evenings event re-the banging on the wall.
A friendly staff, easy to find location with good beer and food.
Good and close to the castle.
location.
Location was excellent with a great view.
Superb location and range of beers.
The room was clean.
Location.
Some of the furniture is old and a bit tatty, but probably goes with the character of the building as it is built into the wall of the castle.
Shared bathroom could be a problem if all 3 rooms are full.
Sharing the bathroom, but it wasn't as bad as I'd feared!.
Nothing.
The location was brilliant. I went walking early in the morning to see
the sun come up, so many wild birds and the dunes. Took photos of it
all. The hotel was full of entertainment and ideally situated in a
beautiful place. I'd definitely go back xx.
The room was located above the bar, where the event took place. it came in handy a little loud in the evenings. Sofa-bed was not ready for children.
Needs an upgrade but to be fair the new owners had only taken the place over a few weeks before my visit and were in the process of making changes.
Shared facilities but saying that did not experience any problems with the other residents.
Loudly creaking floorboards in our room (only in the room itself). I would have preferred an en suite room. Shower head holder was broken so I had to improvise and wedge it into a position which shot water across the shower pod.
Our floorboards creaked. Not a very big deal though very noticeable.
Nothing. We were prewarned about live music and happen to like rock and it finished at midnight so not complaining just warning in room 3 it is incredibly loud.
lack of en suite.
Shower was broken, but useable,.
not a lot i dident like.
Uncomfortable beds.
The shared bathroom facilities.
The noise level from the patrons downstairs in the bar. The person in the next room that felt it was necessary to bang on the wall as the noise was coming from the bar patrons downstairs. That the establishment doesn't inform you that the accommodations are over a drinking establishment.
No notification that the kitchen closes at 1800h on a sunday.
Told they would open for breakfast at 8am but no-one was there until about 8.30 which I thought was poor especially when you are on tour to see things. Not happy with the shared bathroom very small shower.
noise from pub below.
Far too noisy, I was there with my wife and 4 year old son and the Friday night was horrendous...this is a pub with a few rooms that share a bathroom. I was running a marathon on the saturday and had no sleep at all. My son was sleeping on a battered futon that you could feel the slats of through the paper thin mattress. If you want a restful stay in Caernarfon then avoid this place...a shame because it reallycould be a stunning place.
It was a sunday and music blared out at an unacceptable level until 1am. The bedding didn't look very clean and no food available.
The shared bathroom, the noise from the pub below. Also the bed was immensely uncomfortable.
Unfortunately we arrived on the day that there was a change of Tenant so hopefully the new Landlord will clean the place up. When we left he seemed to be making a major effort to clean the whole place up.
