I had booked a single room, but got a surprise upgrade to a beautiful suite! Very big comfy bed and lovely seating area with big, quirky furniture. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant and food at dinner was excellent. Breakfast was very good too, with lovely fresh ingredients and a hot baked croissant. The hotel itself, the garden and surrounds were lovely, except that I didn't get much chance to have a look due to the weather. No hesitation in booking again.Lovely - thankyou. todos opiniões »
The grounds and lodge itself are stunning. We upgraded to the Phrygia Suite and it boasts the largest bathroom in the lodge, with a standalone lion-foot bath, double walk-in shower and a balcony from which you can see the River Severn Estuary!
We ate a la carte in the restaurant and the food was excellent, as was the service throughout. If you want to be spoilt and can splash out a bit you definitely want to come here!.
When you found it it was in a lovely location and the building very impressive inside and out. the room was luxurious, with the widest bed I've ever seen. Unfortunately we didn't eat dinner there as we had other plans already, but from the menu and the standard of breakfast would defintiely do so next time. Great find.
The building itself was great as were the staff. Felt more like an excellent family run B & B rather than a faceless corporate run hotel... I mean that in the best sense of course. Not so much slick 5 star more 5 star service and atmosphere.
Location is fantastic. Loved the views from the room and peacefulness of the woodlands. The building itself is very grand and so are the decorations and furniture. All the staff were very friendly and they also up put a nice birthday surprise.
Staff were discreet, yet friendly.
The food was exquisite and you are waited on in the most professional manner.
The room and service was amazing and the setting beautiful.
Very nice and special room with a view over the bay. Nice sunset.
Located in the middle of a park. Nice restaurant. Not easy to find. Nice
park with statues and fountains.
Beautiful hotel, very quiet with cribbs causeway shopping centre 5 mins drive. Handy for business in Bristol. No hassle parking the car at this hotel - great!.
Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Design and decor of hotel. Excellent
food, wine, service. Luxury with informality.
Honest staff, friendly, lovely setting. Even returned something I left in the room - very impressed with that.
The hotel has a really relaxing feel to it. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was incredible!.
Huge bedroom, huge bathroom, very comfortable, beautiful views and genuinely brilliant food.
Very comfortable and relaxing. The food in the restaurant was delicious.
I love everything about Berwick lodge and will be going back ASAP.
The staff were very friendly and excellent food.
I love the entire hotel and staff.
Great location. Beautiful hotel.
General atmosphere and rooms.
Almost everything.
Location very nice Bathroom fantastic.
Nice soaps and cream!.
bed comfortable thats all.
The narrow road up to the lodge was very uneven - beware of the potholes, but this is nothing that the hotel can do anything about, I'm sure.
The bone-shaker of a pot-holed road leading up to the lodge. Those with sporty low-valanced cars beware!
The amount of nuts in the meal recipes - too much for one meal!.
Better signs on the main road to the hotel would improve things. A plug socket within easy reach of the courtesy tea tray would save a little trouble.
Not much.
The bathroom in our room was a bit small. Would liked to have a bath in the room as well although we were aware that there were other rooms with bath available.
Only this terrible English breakfast, nothing continental. Very limited
menu. The chef needs to go to school in Europe how to cook, serve and
dress a proper meal. Only English tv channels.
Nothing!.
It looks a little tired in places.
Cleaning in our suite not quiet up to scratch but nothing major.
Lack of staff meant the chap checking us in was also serving drinks and waiting for the restaurant. He wasn't impressed that we had booked through letsbookhotel.com and the first room was TINY. A double bed was pushed up against a wall in a corner. I am too old to have to climb over my husband to get in and out of bed! Once we had booked the full a la carte in the restaurant he did change the room and this room was truly superb. If we had this to start then I would be giving excellent as the re.
The road to the hotel is in a very poor state.
No desk in the room. I realise business people are probably not their target market, but it's an omission all the same.
We did not have any hot water in our room, cold showers not appreciated.
nothing.
shoe box bathroom.
Much too big and clumsy furniture in a small room. One small towel for
2 adults. Only cold water in the shower. When booked, I asked for an
extra sheet, which I didn't get. The bathroom was not finished -
the plumbing wasn't covered. Very hard to find the place. The
price too much.
we have never stopped in such a hotel that promiced so much and delivered so little.
bathroom was 6ft x2ft which included toilet ,hand basin and shower , shower was about 2ftx 2ft to small,no dressing table towels had to be kept in bedroom as there was no place to put them in bathroom , no plug sockets by any mirrors for hair styling. food was over rated and exspensive. the room was not fit for purpose.the worst hotel we have ever stopped at !!.
