Very warm welcome from the owner who offered me tea on arrival and carried my bag to the room. Nice room with comfy bed and hot shower, very nice breakfast with views down the river. 2 mins walk from the satation if arriving by train. I would be very happy to stay again. -
The owner was very freindly and most helpful in explaining the local area.

The locaction was great. Our room looked straight out onto the rail bridge and river. Stunning. The double glazing on the windows made the room very quiet. Close proximity to the town centre.

Beautifully furnished rooms - only 3 in the building which makes it quiet and peaceful. It is unstaffed which feels different at first but everything you need is already there and the owner is just minutes away and available on the phone. lots of extra touches eg. Basket of treats and beer and wine in the fridge and an honesty box for payment!

This is a very nice hostel in a really cool old building with cool
modern furnishings. The staff person on duty was very accommodating when
we arrived late, and she was there again in the morning serving
breakfast! We booked a family room for us and our two older sons, which
worked out well. We even had our own private bath, which is definitely a
plus when hosteling. There was even free car parking right outside the
door, even though the listing said there wasn't any.
