We liked everything. Felt totally at home, so much so that we sat on the lounge floor in front of the 'real' fire each evening with the news papers and a drink. How relaxing is that? The people running the hotel were so friendly and helpful. We would recommend it to everyone. The pool needs a special mentiion too, my family think we should get one

Spacious room and bathroom, swimmingpool and jacuzzi ! The landlady is an excellent cook, the menu is limited but just try the minestrone and the penne: superb ! And not expensive at all. We stayed in the room with access for disabled as it was the last room for 1 night - 2 beds downstairs, 1 double upstairs. Very comfortable and cosy room - would be extremely good if in a wheelchair etc as bathroom very good for that. Upstairs landing bedroom lovely. Was able to use the Wifi with ease and the food was excellent. Properly cooked

We were made really welcome . The Landlord lit the fire in the sitting
room so that we could enjoy our excellent bar meal in a more relaxed
setting as the pub was fully booked .Excellent location only 5 miles
from the airport . We would definitely go back as this would be an ideal
place to stay for a visit to Bath . a really good find and excellent
value for money .

Very friendly staff and one of the best restaurants we've used for a long time - Nice sized rooms, very well decorated, beautiful views, friendly staff, fantastic food, good value for money. The Battleaxes is a nice and friendly place to stay. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The food was very nice and the breakfast kept you going for most of the day. Even the local residents were friendly. The bathroom facilities are excellent and a must see. Brilliant hotel and i will book again when I'm down that way. -

Recommend eating in the restaurant amazing food at a great price. Don't forget to have the flatcappers breakfast it will set you up for the day. Thank you to evweyone. Amazing country hillside view from the superior room

Very friendly welcome by Ashley/David - arrangements for access were excellent. Location/access to Bristol City Centre and also to water boat taxi very good.

Very spacious 1 bedroomed apartment - more than met our needs.
Very compact kitchen equipment if needed. -
Good location very close to ss Brittannia exhibition. Very close to
riverside attractions. All in walking distance. Room was spotless and
to a good 4* standard suite. We had a small problem that was
immediately resolved by the management without any fuss or bother - a
definite plus point!

Fantastic hotel, one of the best I've stayed in. Staff couldn't
have been more attentive and professional - little touches helped like
giving my son a kiddie's pack on arrival and a voucher for room
service milk and cookies. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice and
again great service and staff were really knowledgeable about the area.
Pool and spa were immaculate and really nice, room was good size, well
furnished, everything worked. It was a super hotel.

I had a great stay. The hostel had really good communal areas - more like a chic coffee house than a budget hostel. The rooms weren't quite as nice but perfectly acceptable. The wifi was good but you have to pay for it and it doesn't reach the bedrooms - only available in the communal areas. Location is fantastic.
