A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

The SPA facility is one of a kind. Spacious and covering a wide range of functions in a very unique way. It is fantastic and I never seen anything like it around the world. The location by Spanca Lake is an added value for a very relaxing view with a very neat landscape arrangement.

The room was excellent, spacious, clean and very comforting. Staff were friendly and most of all the receptionist Sertac who was extremely friendly and helpful and would go the extra mile to help the guests, I believe all receptionists should be like him. the gardens, sports courts, playgrounds, swimming pools, all were great.

We had a lovely stay at the Hyatt. The hotel itself was beautiful and the service impeccable. The rooms were very nice with everything you would need in a room. This is a fantastic hotel if you want to stay in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. The hotel is a few minutes walk to all the sights and in a quiet street. The staff are all excellent and very kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the view on the terrace is great. The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning staff are meticulous! Ask for a room with a water view if you can!

Sam is the manager of this property and he was very helpful and friendly.
The location was not to far from Taksim squire. it takes from you around 10-15 min by walk.
