We absolutely loved Zara. We paid extra on arrival and upgraded to the
double pool villa for two nights as it was vacant, but then as it was
booked out we thenmoved to villa 10 (grand plunge pool villa). We loved
so many things about Zara. As there are only 12 or so villas in the
resort, most of the time you don't see any other guests. When using

This was without a doubt the best resort we ever visited in all our travelling abroad. The garden in which the villas are situated is awesome and right by the sea. This resort is excelent for people who prefer privacy, yet 20 meters walking and you're on the beach. In your private garden by the villa you would think you're alone in the jungle. A great hotel and great staff. Really nice breakfast and really nice rooms.
The restaurant was surprisingly good.

The location is right on a beautiful beach, ideal for lounging on or strolling along to the various restaurants along the sands. The staff are extremely helpful, and very friendly. Briliiant accommodation, especially Hydro pool rooms, relaxing place to stay. Loved every minute of the stay, for the third year in a row, hoping to make it a fourth.

We stayed in a beautiful room with a small private pool. It was clean, the service is good. Breakfast is OK only.
Beach is good, although the area has better ones in terms of sand softness and water depth.

Absolut superb hotel. It is a family owned hotel and you can see and
feel the difference to the hotel chains. Fresh juices (free of charge)
every morning, super cafe, fresh fruite, stunning seaview, absolute
great food at reasonable prices, super room, very fast wifi internet.
And you are not with 1000 other people packed into a hotel area. The whole hotel has 10 villas and it is a very nice atmosphere. 10/10 points.

Everything! So close to the beach, small but refreshing pool. The staff are lovely and the rooms are serviced every day. 2 minute walk to main street and yet the hotel was nice and peaceful. Shower was fine and ample hot water. This is not a 5 star hotel but we loved it and will definitely return.

The whole atmosphere @ Buddy!! I'm planning to return to Koh Samui
as I fell in love with the place & Buddy Oriental. The food was of
supurb quality and quantity; I take my hat off to the head chef Gina who
works tirelessly to ensure all runs smoothly & is an excellent cook.

I liked the ambience and the architecture of Buddy. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
the complex has a good variety of shops and restaurants although I mostly chose to eat at the nearby New Hut for budget reasons and preferred to try "authentic Thai" food with fellow travelers.
The pools were beautiful although on my second last day whilst lounging at the big pool a snake fell out of a over hanging palm and landed on my chest, however I don't blame the resort for that.

The beach is ca. 50 meters away and the main street about the same. People in the reception area is very nice and the cleaning lady is lovely. Good value for the money.

nice clean bungalows, we had a double room which is smaller; and a triple room which is big and recently furbished - looks brandnew; the beds are softly firm. We all had good sleep there. Location is great, 1 minute's walk to the beach, and 5-10 minutes walk to the town center (shopping/food/drink area); They have own power supply so we had electricity supply in our rooms even the whole southern Thailand had a big blackout on one night during our stay. This place is awesome, we stayed at a number of resorts are Koh Samui (including The Library which is 5* design hotel) and the Beach Republic is definitely up there. Super quick check in, got upgraded to a suite which was really nice and spacious and then last night was upgraded again to a private pool villa, so much fun having your own pool. Heap

We were supposed to stay only for 2 nights, but ended up staying there for 6. The villa is amazing, the private pool, lounge area, kitchen it was all great. It really gives you the island feeling. The staff were exceptional alway ready to help. The beach club was great too, and the food at their restaurant was also very good.the house keeping even remember which of the bed you sleep on. I highly recommend this place. It added so much to our trip.

The advertised product is actually downplayed. We got MORE than we expected! From the great location, quiet area to the amazing staff that we could bug with any question or request & nothing was too much for them. Awesome food for a small lodge!
