The staff did not push us to buy any tour, but when we aske information they were super helpful and offered competitive prices. Varada place was a superb guesthouse. Varada was really friendly and helpful, and provided wonderful faclities for my husband, baby and I. The room was clean, and we had everything we needed. We will come here again, and highly recommend it. Location is quiet but so close to the mall, dentists and hostpital. -

The staff was absolutely great. Sake (spelling) was very welcoming at reception and incredibly friendly. We were lucky to be assigned the two bed room on the bottom floor, which is highly preferred if you get the choice - as the higher you go in the building, the hotter it gets due to the sun!

The young guy who owns the guesthouse is simply the best hotel staff we found in more than 2 weeks in Thailand. The GH is an old Studentsdorm that he is repairing to convert it in a great GH.
The location is perfect: a little far from the busy Sunday walking street but within a walking distance from all spots in the city.
We slept in the room in the 1st floor: basic Double bed fan room but enough regarding our necessities: we use the GH only to sleep and an A/C in Chiang mai is not necessary a
