Only 40 klm from the big snow sport town of Zermatt with accommodation a fraction of the price. A tiny hamlet perched high on the side of a very steep valley. The area around Visp is ideal as a base to visit the Rhone valley and adjacent peaks. Zermatt, Saas-fee, Aletsch Glacier, Sierre, Crans-Montana all are inside 1 hour from Visp by car. Although Zeneggen requires a 15 minute climb through a steep and narrow road (not recommended to inexperienced drivers), it is worth of it. Mr. Zimmermann was very nice and helpfull advising us about places to visit in the region. Excellent value for the price we paid.
