O que as pessoas dizem
Service. Staff are very friendly. Feels like you're staying at your
uncle's house. Everything is clean. Room is spacious and has
minimalist design, but all furnishings are new. At breakfast they
actually wait at you. Since this is not a big hotel, buffet is not
always laid out but they will serve the food on your table instead. You
just sit at the table like a maharaja and they'll serve you. At one
point I got a little unwell and the waiter made sure I was ok - - the
kind of attention you proba. todos opiniões »
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a cool refreshing towel, and fresh cold juice. The hotel staff was more than accomodating. They were very helpful and showed genuine care and concern for me and my son when he felt ill the last day of our visity. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable with A/C units, and a fan. The meals are prepared to order and they can even accomodate off menu items at times. The bathrooms are modern with rain showers. It is close to the airport, about 30 mins. D.
The Ocean Front is well situated with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff
was friendly and made us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for
them. Additional, affordable, top quality in-house meals (lunch and
dinner) were arranged without any trouble. I have to make special
mention of one of the managers, Mr. Praneetha Perera who went the extra
mile on numerous occasions to make transport arrangements and provide us
with helpful guidance and advise regarding trips in-and-around Colombo.
The hotel is like a small boutique hotel with great views and the location is just lovely. Has a Jacuzzi, although shared but there aren't that many rooms so its not busy.
The rooms are clean and well equipped and they are spacious with comfortable bed.
The staff is friendly and very flexible since its not a chain of hotel.
Would definitely recommend the hotel for those looking for a quiet place to stay when in Colombo with sea view.
A convenient location for the centre of town. We just had an overnight stop from arriving in Colombo and catching an early train the following morning. The friendly staff offered a welcome drink, cooked a delicious Sri Lankan curry and rice, and organised transfer to the station. The rooms was clean and contemporary with a huge walk-in shower. Extremely well fitted out given the good-value rates.
This hotel is fantastic. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Colombo. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful at all times. We stayed in room 204 which had a great view of the ocean, a nice ocean-front balcony .spacious bathroom great. Airconditioning was fantastic. Our personal chef was brilliant. You don't need to go anywhere for the best Sri-lankan food!.
I love all staff there at ocean front ,,, they are out standing. Special thanks to my best staff shone, understanding guest needs was wonderful, and the room and all hotel was soo clean , food were lovely, for sure I'll visit this hotel again and again,,, this is one of the best of the best hotel I had in my life, again thanks to all staff for gave me one of great time there ,.
Its an oasis within a city that is not well geared up for ofreign visitors.
Its location is interesting since the train from Galle to Colombo passes between the hotel and the sea.
There is a full front view of the Ocean.
Everything is clean and the decor is quite acceptable.
The staff bend over back wards to help with that typical Sri Lankan smile.
Staff is really nice, friendly and helpful ! They really do their best to help you in anything you need and to make your trip comfortable. They find a solution to everything you ask.
I loved the fact that it is a small place compared to the other huge hôtels, where you feel quiet, relaxed... Good internet connection.
The place is a real find! The hospitality is very good-to be welcomed with a cool drink after 7hours of travel- wonderful! The chef is excellent-we had some delicious srilankan food. And the staff go the extra mile to make u comfortable. Kudos Mr chandana!.
Well located, clean, modern and kind and helpful staff.
We had a late flight and they let us a room for having a shower before departing at night at no cost; that is uncommonly kind, over expectations and really helpful considering Colombo's weather.
Cold refreshing towels and fresh papaya cocktails at the arrival. Friendly staff, very good food for money, toiletries in the bathroom (shampoo, shower gel and body lotion), tuk tuk with a meter just outside the hotel, ocean view from the room.
Service was excellent - the staff were warm and went out of their way to
see to our comfort. It felt like staying in a home - we had the
traditional Sri Lankan breakfast which was delicious and among the best
we had on our entire trip!.
The room was very clean. The double shower was great and the bathroom was a good size. We were served cold drinks and a delicious traditional snack on arrival. The breakfast was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff and owner, keen to help and give honest advice. Made a lunch up for us as we had an early train trip (although it was quite expensive) Right on the coast with stunning views of the ocean and sunset.
Lovely rooms and the bathrooms are very fancy. The location is great,
not too far from the central business area and the mall at cinnamon
grand. The food is excellent - highly recommend the Lankan dinner meal.
Simple elegant property managed by really professional and seasoned team of hospitality managers.Location is key in a city like Colombo and this property gets full marks for that. The service is impeccable.
Absolutely brilliant experience. Have never experienced such lovely hospitality across the world. Staff went out of their way in taking care of us. Loved and cherish every moment of it.
Very friendly an helpful staff, delicious breakfast and an amazing view of the see from the room was a highlight of our stay. We will definitely come back.
VERY attentive staff. Nice breakfast. Free WiFi in the room. An outdoor whirlpool to sit in and look across the city to the ocean from 4 stories up.
Everything. The staff were Phenomenal and extremely helpful. Location and room was to our liking and the experience overall very pleasant.
The friendly staff, the nicely appointed room and bathroom, great shower, the cleanliness of the hotel and the lovely views to the sea.
No words to explain....simple amazing
Got the top floor room with my own balcony
Relaxing sound of the waves ...
Comfortable Bed...
Rooms nice, WiFi free, friendly staff very helpful. Good location, nice sea views from some rooms.
Recommend and value for money.
Very good solution for stay in Colombo. Very small hotel with very friendly staff 2 km from city centre.
Excellent personalized service. Actually one of the best hotels of its kind that I have ever stayed at.
A superb little hotel. Great staff and location. Kindness and consideration in everything.
Very friendly staff, nice Sri Lankan food, very tastefull interior,
cloce to station/city.
The food was good too. One of the best Sri Lanka rice and curries I've had so far.
Staff super friendly, great service, nicely furnished, great views of the ocean.
Staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good and its clean hotel.
Balcony view of Indian Ocean, while trains roll across the seawall.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Great ocean view.
Very friendly and helpful staff! nice rooms and good view.
The staff was extremely friendly and supportive.
Friendly staff, clean and big rooms, breakfast.
Breakfasts, modern clean rooms and staff.
Small nice hotel, very helpful staff!.
Staff is friendly.
Location is nice.
Great location for traveling Colombo.
Very clean and friendly staff.
The staff was very helpful.
Great people.
We had a nice room with balcony
English plugs available
Sea views
The room was a haven away from the hubbub of the city on first arriving.
Breakfast was fine but nothing special, having now been to other places the breakfast was overpriced.
Wifi was good in the room
We never quite mastered the aircon but I think that might have been us.
First of all, stuff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and food is fantastic! There is no restaurant, but You can take lunch or diner in small balcony with ocean view.
I don't understand, how this hotel is 4 star, I would say from 2 to 3 stars
I liked sea view, railways by the sea, trains, trains people hanging outside doors.
Spacious comfortable and clean rooms. Centrally located, near train station, shops and restaurants. Breakfast is lovely, staf helpful.
The staff in this small hotel were very friendly and welcoming. The room
was small but clean, bright and well appointed.
- Clean rooms
- Staff
- Correct Internet speed.
Staircases can be tricky. There is no lift.
Nothing - everything was great!.
The train can be noisy. If you are a light sleeper you might not be happy. However if you treat that as part of the exprience then in my opinion its manageable.
Nothing I did not like.
Of course the train passes regularly (but stops during the night) but as other travellers had advised about it, I had brought ear-taps with me, and it was fine. The staff even asked where I found mines so that they could find a solution for other travellers. This is a positive behaviour.
if anything at all, it must be the railway line behind the place but the trains were not so frequent, so not much of a problem.
No cons, we had a great time there.
The dining and foyer area is not air conditioned. There are fans but it
can get very hot at meal times (if you choose to eat there). One porter
was a little too helpful, asking every 5mins what we were doing today or
how was the food. Became a little annoying but I guess they are trying
to give what they consider to be good service.
N/A.
No elevator, and the primo room is up 3 floors from ground. No AC in common areas.
N/A.
The noise of a water pump that came on any time that a tap was turned on anywhere in the hotel. The hotel jacuzzi was situated directly outside the window of my room at the height of the window (very weird). The position was quite noisy once the trains started but I enjoy the trains. The illegal noisy nightclub that was nearby was less enjoyable.
Nothing much except for the noise of the train that passes every 10 to 15minutes.
This is not negative, but just be aware of the fact that the railway is running between the hotel and the sea and noisy commuter trains run during peak hours. So if you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room facing the back - but then you will miss the sunset views...
Too much noise from the trains and inside the hotel (the
door/stairs), sometimes no hot water. When friends called at the
phone - they couldnt get through - they were told that the hotel didnt
want to desturb us??? Why??.
Room was small but clean and nicely appointed.
Railway and road with associated noise between hotel and ocean.
The noise of the train when it passing you will feel that its inside your room.
I liked everything about the place.
The noise from road and train.
not in the city center but close with a tuck tuck.
The price of the accommodation is in relation to the rest of the country a bit high.
The hotel is just next to the railway so when the train passes it can
get really loud.
Dinner - fish and chips - dried and disappointing Room - glass door and
light shone through it; light was switched on and off during the night
which was disturbing Spa pool right beside my bedroom window and people
using it at night.
Expensive, they charge about 100 usd for the room and then add another
23 percent to the total. Weird.
To much noise of the nearby railroad.
Noise of trains and road very near
Not very close to shops and food but could walk in easily.
Train line goes between hotel and ocean. It is really very very noisy.
P.S. also You should know, that is no "beach type" hotel location. I mean ocean is in front of You, but there is no beach.
Staff can be a little too pleasing at times. Since the hotel does not provide guests with a front door key one has to ring the bell everytime; staff will meet guests every time as well, which means not always necessary conversations and questions.
The entrance was an anonymous door in a ground floor property which was
being developed. It is next to a busy railway line and so is noisy. The
noise of people comng and going and the front door closing can be
clearly heard inside the bedroom.
- Overall too expensive for a very small hotel (5-6 rooms only)
- Food was fair but not great
- Breakfast okay but also quite expensive (1300 Rps + taxes ~ 10€ per person)
- the railway is between the hotel and the sea (so expect to hear some trains). We didn't bother but some might.
- Don't expect too much "relaxation" from the jacuzzi: it's just in front of another room's window on the balcony :s.
