  Great location -- very close to the Mezquita, Jewish quarter, the Roman bridge and main sights. The staff was very helpful -- even walked me to the bus stop to go back to the bus terminal. Had heat/AC in my room, which was nice since it was chilly out. Bathroom was clean, and although there was only one, I didn't run into any issues although I ... o que as pessoas dizem » was only there for one night - We had originally reserved a room at a different hotel, but upon arrival we were taken to this hotel because of heating problems. It was a wonderful switch. This hotel was clean, centrally located, and the staff was very friendly. It´s less than a five minute walk away from the Alcazar and the Mezquita.

  The location is to die for! We had a car and could actually park it very close to the hostal for free. We did everything walking from there. The rooms are very cosy with AC (needed in this city) and private bathrooms. - near bus station and location is perfect!!

  The pensione is central, quiet, clean and comfortable. The air con was a pleasant respite from 39 degree temp outside for a mid afternoon siesta. The hosts were friendly and pleasant although we were new to Spain and they had little English we didn't converse much. Entry was by ringing the doorbell which was good for security but made us feel awkw... o que as pessoas dizem » ard when we thought they might be resting. - We stayed 1 night in Pension el Portillo and the room was perfect for that time. It is a rather small family-run business in a very good location (around 5 mins walk from La Mosquita and Alcazar), clean and comfortable, with a lovely owner. I would not choose it for longer stay (3-4 days) but it was perfect for 1 night.
