  We spent a week in the Hotel Lauria, it's a great hotel. Our room had been beautifully redecorated and renovated, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom excellent. The staff were very helpful, immediately answering questions (including in emails before arrival !). The hotel is in just about the best location you could ask for; right on the Rambla Nova for restaurants and bars (which by the way is also one - When we eventually found the hotel the location was exceptional. Despite hotel parking being full there is municipal carpark next to the hotel and the parking fee is subsidised by the hotel. 13 euros instead of 25 euros for 24 hour parking. The hotel car park charge is 12.50 euros. he staff were pleasnt and helpful. the room was good size good facilities and air con.   The apartment was located brilliantly, right beside the main square in the heart of the Gothic quarter. Only a minute away from the main Rambla Nova and a 10-minute walk to the beach.
