  Very friendly staff. I was impressed by the cleanliness, esp of shared bathroom and daily cleaning of room and fresh towels. Single room, but spacious enough and comfortable. Good location with easy connections to centre, and also plenty of shops, bars etc in walking distance. Central heating!!

  Position was good, staff and room too. Our room was a little too noisy because nearby we had the owner's apartament. In a great location with lots of bars, tapas shops, short walk to all the major attractions. Simple, but very very clean and neat.   I spent three week in hostel Estrella and I was really satisfied. The hostel was very clean and landlady was really nice lady. She don't speak english but she always try to help you. Hostel have the best location. Is next to Grad via and Plaza de Espana. If you want to party in the night you will love it the location.   First of all, the location of the hostel is great, being located in the heart of Madrid, a few minutes away from Gran Via and all the cultural places. Also it is really easy to arrive from the airport. Next, the staff was young, professional, very friendly and with good communication skills (they spoke English - The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!
