Check Teresa bar opposite for delicious tapas and try local 'tinto de verano' drink which is a mix of wine with lemon. The hostal is located in a very old house so ready for a piece of history. Place is clean and quiet, friendly staff. This place has - The place had loads of character, we loved the quirky shapes and designs of the place and our room was delightful, and there are some lovely public spaces. The location was absolutely brilliant, right in the heart of Santa Cruz and close to the cathedral. It was amazing to get such good value accommodation in this spot. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are basic, but for people on a budget, the Vergara is a cut above.
