  I was staying at the Parliament Hotel for 3 nights with my partner some days ago. The hotel is very well situated, near almost everything that tourists would like to see in Cape Town: The Company Gardens, the castle, Greenmarket, Long Street etc. It is only 30 minutes walk for the Waterfront (the port and its shops, the Aquarium etc), and very clo... o que as pessoas dizem » se (5 minutes) to the Hop on Hop off buses (double deckers to visit the peninsula: http://www.citysightseeing.co.za/). There are supermarkets quite cl - The staff were excellent I really felt like home, they did everything they could to accommodate all my questions and hopes. They even organized in matter of two hours notice a rental car with a good price and horse riding safari for me and printed all maps for me to find the place even without asking. The restaurant next door that serves also the breakfast has two amazing Italian guys running it, the food is brilliant (absolutely brilliant one of the best pastas and breakfast I've ever gotten

  Nice staff, free coffee and tea, nice room, clean and confortable facilities and halls, chairs and books to relax. The fact that the hostel is no smoking is a very good point! A lot of useful information about day trips and tours. - Great facilities such as kitchen, dining/tv area and roof top bar. Bathrooms were cleaned frequently.

  Not an ultramodern hotel but rather a well maintained hotel with a more genteel feel. The rooms were nicely sized, comfortable bed and kept spotless by the staff. The rooms were well soundproofed so you had no extraneous noise from other rooms. The restaurant was pleasant and the food well above average. As others have noted, the breakfast really ... o que as pessoas dizem » sets you up for the day. The hotel is quite well placed in a slightly quieter part of town next to the parliament buildings but only a 10 minute strol - Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.
