The traditional Pension Lectar is situated in the quiet and small Alpine resort Radovljica, only 5 km from the enchanting Lake Bled, surrounded by mountains. The guesthouse offers comfortable rooms, mostly with balconies overlooking the Alps. The rooms are named and equipped after past tradesmen from Radovljica. Pension Lectar is situated in the Mediaeval part of the town, 50 metres from the Train Station and 200 metres from the bus station. You can park your car before you enter the old town. The property itself is over 500 years old, housing a typical Slovene restaurant, where you will be served home-made traditional dishes, and a live museum - The Living Ginger Bread Workshop. It represents an important part of the local heritage and culture. Activities of the region include skiing, playing golf on one of the most beautiful playgrounds in central Europe, driving the chariot or the steam train, unforgettable tours by plane, and many others. For those who are interested in culture, there are several museums and other sights worth visiting.

Everything! The quirky array of ornaments, predominantly old musical instruments, they were everywhere - providing endless interest and amusement. The staff were so friendly; the owner even serenaded me with his harmonica on my birthday! The gingerbread shop associated with the hotel was a good source of holiday gift shopping and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Charming hotel in a pretty square, room was comfortable and very big. Had dinner in the restaurant - one of the best meals we had in our 10 days in Slovenia. Ideal stopover for people heading out from the airport to the north of the country. Staff very helpful with parking problem - Manager moved his car so we could have his space.

This is not a 5 star hotel but the atmosphere, service, food, and surrounding medieval village to enjoy far exceed most 5 star hotels of today. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed every moment in this charming hotel. Very atmospheric - decorated in traditional style, which was lovely. Clean and comfortable; friendly staff; good food both in the evening and at breakfast We managed to squeeze in an extra night even though the website said it was full. Great stay, as always. Room was comfortable and clean. Dinner in the restaurant was great. And of course the staff was friendly. We have stayed here multiple times over the years, and will come back again. Lovely town, a great jumping off point for the area. Excellent service, fab meals (the most awesome breakfast ever). A very comfortable room, all the amenities I needed. the town is great; the hotel has an amazing restaurant; greeted with a drink even though we had to wake them up. Easy commute to many small towns nearby including Bled. As always, the staff was great....service was awesome. Probably our 5th or 6th stay there....our favorite spot to "hideaway" from it all. Great location in centre of historic town and the pension has lots of character, whilst at the same time offering modern conveniences. So friendly & helpful, room was excellent although would have liked a double bed instead of 2 singles. We were going to check out anyway, so I didn't bring it up to management, but normally the internet here is really good, and it was completely dead our last day there…... Make sure you have good directions if you arrive by car, don't rely on the signposting on the road. Check in hours are very strict, no one is available outside those hours for checkin or checkout! Our GPS took us the wrong way, ask for coordinates or parking lot nearby. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee in the room !. nothing. nothing. Beds a bit too firm, but otherwise super rooms. Slow service in restraunt waiting a long time for water we asked for olive oil 3 times. The restaurant is a bit overpriced. Nothing. Firm mattress.
