A hotel within a country club
The well maintained Residence is located on the third floor of a country club in town, and comprises of 26 rooms and 2 suites, facing either the Padang (cricket lawn) or the city. The swimming pool which is located at the corner of the basement, which feels like a pond within a cave.
Cleanliness did not disappoint.

The hotel is in a great location in the colonial district kitty corner
to Raffles Hotel, walking distance to Singapore Flyer, subway, Hop On
Hop Off Bus, countless shopping centres and restaurants, the river and
boat quay, Marina Bay Sands Hotel and much more. There was a fair bit of
traffic noise as our room overlooked the front road...mainly seemed like
background type noise and didn't disturb our sleep. Somewhat odd
room. The hotel rooms are on the third floor, upper level of the club.

We stayed in this hotel because it was only 20S$ more expensive than the backpacker hotel we stayed first.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was big and we even had a window!
The pool is very nice, although the view is nothing special.
Our flight was late at night and we could store our luggage and they even offered us to take a shower before we left for the airport! This is a great service that I have not yet experienced.

Park Royal on Beach road is an exceptional property and the rate that Igot through LetsBookHotel.com was really excellent. Iarrived into SG very early in the morning, and check in time wasn't until 2pm, but I still rock up at the hotel at 6.30am. The staff was very friendly and helpful to have me organized. The room is clean, modern and cozy. Bedding and linen are so comfy that I could sleep soundly. Really great location, standards for Ibis acommodation: comfy beds, small but well equipped room. The price was a bit higher than usual for Ibis but compared to other fares in Singapore it was extremely acceptable. Food in the restaurant is really great and the breakfast is great as well (might be worth the 18SGD!). Wifi worked fine in room (5th floor). They got me late check-out until 14h and kept my bags until 20h, very convenient.

The hotel rooms are simple but very well-designed -
Although the room was small, it was compact and it had everything basic we needed. The bed was great to sleep on....soo comfortably soft with nice comforters. The bathroom size was sufficient and the tiles were nice. Water was sufficient in both toilet and bath...nothing eeky in them. Hotel staff are nice to talk to. We felt secured in this place; it was quiet. It is near the shops and the MRT station.
