A typical beach resort hotel, quite crowded in May (mostly elderly Germans), this hotel offers clean roomy accommodation. Located at only 250 meters from the boulevard and 400 meters from the beach and sea, this is a good place to stay for those wanting to stay for a few days at the Baltic Sea or just passing through like we were. Friendly staff, who spoke English, even though most guests were german pensioners. The location is good for the beach and the promenade, and quiet. Breakfast was also good. Wifi worked well.

Hotel restaurant closes early. No nightlife as the city council has decided to turn the city into a relax spa. Bars and restaurants close at 22:00 hrs. Good for families and pensioners (or passing travelers like we were) who enjoy a quiet place next to the Baltic sea and beach. No historical old town to speak of. The only way out towards the east is by ferry with long waiting times, no bridges available.
The bed was a bit small and uncomfortable, and the elevator was really slow. Bad sound insulation through the door. Early check-out (10.00).
Supper is offered a little bit too early in the evening.

Staff are a little rough around the edges. They would fit in nicely in a military prison. No option to order fried eggs for breakfast. Don't be late for the 10am checkout time or be prepared to be scolded.
