This was one of the highlights of our Trip around Norway. Relaxed hospitality as it should be. Excellent local produce, no choice and yet the meal was enjoyed by all 12 dinner guests. WE loved the surroundings which were scrubby and the mountains nearby. The cabin was large and very well equipped and in excellent condition - many kitchen appliances which worked well, warm enough for us who live in the tropics. The owner was also helpful and patiently answered our queries on checking in. -

I liked the whole cabin. it was very well equipped, from the sauna to dish-washer. I also liked the privacy, it was as if we owned the whole area with the beautiful mountain and lake backdrop. Lastly, this was the first cabin, cottage that allowed me to row a boat! Wifi was also working fine.

This hotel is located in a beautiful spot, a very short walk to the Flam train station and the Gutvagen ferry dock, and next door to Flam's excellent microbrewery/restaurant. Our room was large, bright, had a really nice view from room and balcony, a very comfortable bed, and good reading lights. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The view from our deck was amazing, probably better than the view from the hotels that are nearer to the reail station and port. The room was pretty big, and had all the facilities needed to cook and eat. For those who do not cook, there is a bar/restaurant on the basement that offers basic meals at fair prices.

Beautiful main lodge with a lovely restaurant and wrap-around porch. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in one of the small cabins with no bathroom and it was clean and warm with a kitchenette and sink. The setting was beautiful with the surrounding mountains. The price was excellent. -

Location - amazing. Dinners were excellent despite being a set menu. Reception and waiting staff very friendly and helpful. The free bike and rowing boat hire were a real bonus.
