This was the cleanest Motel I had ever been in. I was thoroughly impressed with the layout of the unit, the space allotted, the facilities. The price was incredibly good value for what you were getting. Staff were friendly and approachable. Close to beach and only a quick eight minute walk up the road to supermarkets and a few fast food resturants. Close to bus stops. omg. for what it's worth, this place is value for money and close to the tourist spots. e.g. Sandfly bay to see the penguins/seals, the castle and CBD of Dunedin. The staff were so helpful and we were grateful and excited to see the penguins on the recommended bay that cost nothing. Definately a place to come back to. The cadbury factory was worth it too.

Keeping guests warm and comfortable in Dunedin during winter is no mean feat, but this motel more than achieved it :) the staff are friendly welcoming and go out of their way to help. Will be first choice of places to stay in Dunedin for our family. Spacious room with separate kitchen & bathroom areas. Large lounge near a heater to relax on and watch TV. Free WiFi. Friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Handy location for a walk along the beach and close access to the Otago Peninsula. The 2-bedroom unit was large , clean and comfortable - the location was a few minutes from the cbd and restaurants , the manager was very welcoming and helpful and the continental breakfast was fine. We would stay there again. The motel was extremely comfortable and roomy and very good value for money. The staff were very helpful, both while doing the booking and while we were there. I would definitely recommend this motel. One of the best in my 2 week trip strong feeling that they are under priced lol big room with independent rest room, shower, and full function kitchen staff is super nice the free milk is sweet =). We stay at this motel each year when we come to Dunedin. We find the staff very friendly and courteous, the units are very adequate, clean and handy to everything. We will definitely come again :O). Superb location, close to St kilda beach & eateries. We were upgraded to a villa with 2 rooms & kitchen-very good expreince. St kilda beah was very close and we had a nice time. We arrived an hour earlier than check-in time but it was no problem to the owner who was most welcoming. It is within a 10 minute drive of some excellent restaurants at St. Claire. Nothing to complain about. All was good. The room was dated. Nothing. With 3 single beds in the unit as well as a double bed there was not a lot of space to move. The quality of the tv audio was very poor. Nothing. Nothing. At first didn't like the fact it was opposite a school but got used to that it wasn't so bad as I thought. Nothing - for a budget conscious traveller it satisfied our requirements perfectly. There was nothing I did not like. Bathroom was a bit small and could be updated. sidelights in main bedroom a bit bright, maybe lower watt bulb would be nice.. but hey if thats all I can find to complain about..!!. The area is VERY over priced for entries etc to locations. tight area around shower. Parking a bit tight, but OK. Nothing. The comfort lacked in relation to the bed....very small, very soft double bed. We slept in different beds. Very pokey apartment which can sleep 5... Not appropriate for mature couple who just want a nice bed and room that we can move in and not keep tripping over ill appointed furniture. All a little dated and could do with refurbishment ( if the budget allowed) ,. Nothing. Tight parking lot. Shower a little small for a tall man :). nothing. As in a lot of NZ motels - separate hot/cold taps in bathroom sink. Not a big deal, but we noticed a lot of places don't have mixer taps. A power supply shall be provided near the wash basin. troublle with internet. noisy heater. Difficulty being warm and watching TV as the power box overloaded if the heater and TV were on together. Also to have electric blanket and bedside light on meant digging around for a cord and plugging it in above the pillows where it fell out during the night. Lacked a couple of items in the kitchen that would have made it better eg no decent breadknife.
