  This hotel was fantastic. My first time in Amsterdam and I had heard and read from reviews that the rooms in Dutch hotels were small - not at this hotel! I stayed in a twin room and there was plenty space! Beautiful shower and bath, with a toilet in a separate room. We got the card with an birthday invitation for 2 to the sky bar for drinks-it was very nice of the hotel, cause in many other places they kept on 'forgetting' about special request, but not here!!   I read about this hotel from Wall Paper. As a close follower of the publication, as well as being obsessed with design hotels, when Wall Paper rates it as one of the best new location in 2012, it became my primer task to check it out, hence, when the opportunity came, I checked into this hotel without a heart beat. The building itself is spectacular - the architectural design and merging of old and new to create a dynamic lifestyle experience with the comfort of the new and the charm and character of the old. The hotel is its own little idealized universe with good food, fabulous shops and a beautiful spa/pool/gym that offers yoga, pilates and other exercise classes daily. I couldn't recommend the
