Owner is fantastic. Provided lots of information. The Riad was very
clean, well designed and all around one of our favorite on our two week
trip in Morocco. My friend and I also tried the Hamman and that was one
of the best, as, I have tried a few. It was nice to be able to head to
the room right after. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace or below was
also one of our best. Not just the usual, but nice touches like homemade
yogurt, fruit etc. I would highly recommend this riad and would easily

Incredible! The couple that manages the Riad is amazing, they will
treat you as you have never been greater before (the day we left the
husband woke up at 5:30am to prepare us the breakfast because we had to
leave at 7:00am). The rooms are spacious and the views on most of them

The choice of the riad was important for us as we aimed at spending 7 days in Essaouira. Luckily,
we could not choose better than the riad La Fontaine Bleue. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms with a view on the ocean are very nice and comfortable (e.g. the room called Zoulikha).
The riad also offers very nice dinners. I offered help and they allowed me to help in the kitchen so that I could learn how to prepare a wonderful couscous royal and chat with the staff about life

The staff was one of the best I experienced in Morocco--which says a lot if you know anything about Moroccan hospitality. A very interesting and bohemian riad in an excellent location right at the edge of the ancient medina on the city walls. It's full of arty things and there is always somewhere new and interesting to rest your eye. Very laid back atmosphere. Great roof terrace with views out to sea and the battlements. Excellent breakfast every day and Isabel the manager is lovely and helpful.

Dar Assalama was my favourite of the two places we stayed during our 8 days stay in Morocco. It was peaceful, comfortable and perfect for four days in Essaouira. The hotel staff were very helpful at all times. It's an approximate 4 minutes walk to the market area. The view from the terrace is wonderful. The room we stayed in was big and lovely. My wife wants to go back, I'm sure we will one day!

Casa Lila is amazing! It felt like a real treat. They upgraded us to a
bigger room at no charge, and the Rose suite was phenomenal! I loved the
bright colors and the design of Casa Lila, and how it felt both

The reception staff was very helpful providing a map and locations with restaurant recommendations. The breakfast on the terrace was served by a calming and attentive member of staff and varied each morning. Our suite on the second floor was spacious and quiet. Located in the Medina this riad is close to everything. The terrace area was good for sunbathing and there were loungers on another floor too. Plenty of places to sit comfortably within the riad.

Everything! The staff was friendly, and very helpful. Gave good advice on restaurants to go to in the medina. The room was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast on the patio was very nice as well, and the day we were leaving (at an earlier time than the breakfast was set), the staff at the reception prepared it anyhow. We had a lovely time in Essaouira!
