  We read all of the reviews and thought what the heck for two days! It surpassed our imagination in the eclectic art work and gardens. A great many of the artifacts /art were antique and represented the culture of Merida. The pool was fabulously refreshing, breakfast was lovely on the terrace and our room was more than adequate.   Great location, walking distance to the center but also close to the high-class Paseo Montejo. Definitely a safe area. Nearby restaurants and even nice places for a drink or a coffee. I stayed in a comfortable room with private bathroom (only six available), great for resting after driving around all day. - I really liked the place.
