Our room which was actually a suite was decorated with - It's a beautifully restored set of old houses, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, there are special touches like the 4pm cup of tea and kuih (local cake) by the poolside. It rained part of the time we were there but this was a lovely place to just relax and read a book in peace. The Kebaya restaurant was where we had the best meal during our three days, wish it were open for lunch too.   Some of my ratings don't really do justice to this unique and beautiful hotel. Amazing setting, very helpful staff. The fittings of the hotel are perhaps a little tired in places, and they are currently part way through a major refurb...which will probably double the price! From our arrival to our departure, my husband and I were overwhelmed with the staffs hospitality, we were made to feel very special and part of the Rasas family. All soft drink are free of charge and at the lobby lounge free tea, sandwiches and cake are served between 3 and 4. Between 6 and 7 freewine, cocktails and snacks are served.   It was excellent stay! Very clean, neat hotel. Room has fan on the ceiling and effective quiet air con. All rooms are with sea view, so at night only fan was enough because of sea breeze. On balcony is soft settee with pillows, table with arm-chair and bathtub! Towels and bathrobes changed twice a day.
